Attractio Is A Companion To All Cubes

By Jim Rossignol on April 15th, 2013 at 2:00 pm.

Blue spotted this first-person puzzler over the weekend. Attractio reminds me of… something. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Perhaps take a look at the trailer below and see if you can help me out with the association. Also, as Blue noticed, you can get at a demo if you fill in a survey. So that might be even more help.

Ah, I’m just being facetious. I’m glad there we’re finally getting more first-person puzzlers. They will always be a fascinating genre, even if they don’t fall too far from the portal. I like that the developers are called “GameCoder”, too. No messing about with that name.

The game is due in the summer.

First person 3D VVVVVV? I like! Think I see some similarities with a few of Quantum Conundrum’s puzzles in there as well.

And since it didn’t look unoriginal enough yet: “The game is set in a far future where three contestants try to win the prize offered in a reality show competition”
    For crying out loud!

On the plus side, the whole game looks rather pretty.

Finally! A game that’s made full of boxes! I didn’t think they would do it but they did! I love box(es).

Time to crate is 0 no matter which direction your character starts looking!

Does anyone know the name of the font used for Attractio’s title in that screenshot? I’ve been lazily trying to track it down for donkey’s yonks!

Sort of reminds me of Q.U.B.E.

For crying out loud, what a blatant StarCraft rip-off!

No associations with Portal of course.
