What’s The Opposite Of A Fast Blue Hedgehog?

By John Walker on March 6th, 2014 at 8:00 am.

Here’s some complete nonsense to kick off your Thursday morning. A fly-on-the-wall mocumentary of the birth of one of gaming’s most iconic characters. It’s not Pong 2.

I’d have liked a few more big gags, but if you don’t laugh at the answer to the question titling this post, then I’m CROSSING OUT your birthday on my calendar.

I’m fairly sure that’s how it happened.

This is by Beasts, and appears to be their first upload. I’m interested to see what they do next.

      You’re missing out.

    • Grygus says:

No, this is how it worked in the halcyon days of yore. Nowadays, one receives an incomprehensible e-mail full of grammatical errors from the CEO, writes the code for what one assumes must be the intent, and is then laid off with a hearty “job well done!”

  9. Gothnak says:

That is what i do every day at work… Except that guy can draw better than i can.

Sonic the Hedghog was internally known as “Project Needlemouse” at Sega during development… I think.

  12. DrollRemark says:

This is basically just the children’s story ideas scene from Black Books, isn’t it?

    Still pretty well done though.

  13. sonofsanta says:

Brilliant. Very Graham Linehan/Simon Pegg. That is not a bad thing.

  14. SuicideKing says:

This reminded me of the IT Crowd, with a very aggressive Jen, and lots of “fuck”.

  15. UpsilonCrux says:

How strange. Halfway through enjoying this video my brain did a double-take. I know one of those guys!
So that’s where he ended up. Congrats!

  16. anark10n says:

    “Good! What does he collect?”
    “Stamps!”
    “Eugene, you’re fired! Get out!”

Missed out on a golden gaming gimmick right there!
