Rock, Paper, Shotgun

Do you hate console games?

Of course not. Games are games are games are games. All the contributors to Rock, Paper, Shotgun have both played and written about console games extensively and you’ll tear our Guitar Hero controllers from his cold, dead hands (Except for John, who gave his to his Sister). We’re not the sort of blog who’ll diss Console games for their mere existence. In fact, when they’re the most important reference point for something on the PC, we’ll talk about them. Even before the days of rampant cross-development, the best PC developers were highly aware of and in love with console games, taking inspiration from them (and, just as often, giving it back).
