Well inspired by the work of DW in starting a Marvel Superheroes RP aswell as the soon to be released Space Marine, I've decided to start up an RP using the Deathwatch rules from Fantasy Flight games. I am not 100% sure about the exact nature of the campaign yet but the basics are thus.
You are a Space Marines.
Things will die and explode.
Dakka Dakka Dakka.

yesyesyes! Overall I prefer the the Rogue Trader setting but I would certainly like to give this a go - I am desperate to start playing most any paper rpg!

The 40K RPG's including Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader and Space Marine are all awesome tabletop games. I am just starting a Dark Heresy campaign and daaamn the critical tables make people fall apart quickly when under fire.
I have never played an actual campaign with Space Marine - just one shots- but it seems like it would be a really entertaining RPG along the likes of the opening 30-45 minutes of Predator. Please let us know how it goes!

I am thinking of running character gen this weekend if anyone is interested? I think I have 4/5 people so far which is about right for what I want.
For Chapters I've had a request of not Ultramarines and in order to try something a bit different I am thinking Imperial Fists, any objections? Any suggestions?

I am using the deathwatch rules but you aren't playing a deathwatch kill team. Too narrow focus plus I don't like the cohesion rules when part of a deathwatch kill team.

Ok tester session will be today at 8pm (that is sunday 8pm BST) using mumble. It should only last a few hours as we all get to grips with the system and your characters. I'm going dual melee, and have swift attack, which means I get four attacks every round in melee. At rank three I'll be able to up that to six! Later on there's an ability that gives me an additional attack, bumping it up to seven. Muhahaha.
Basically, my dude (Konrad) is a charismatic leader type, with an affinity for melee combat. I'll fly in (I'm an assault marine) and spin around in a symphony of bloodshed. I've got sub-par toughness though, so my tactic is going to be to kill everything before it even can touch me.
Also my power armour specialized in killing things - it gets a bonus to crits or somesuch.

T'was a good night!
Having never played a tabletop RPG, naturally I was chosen to lead the team. Having fought through some forest terrain, we happened upon an Ork encampment. My shining moment was to suggest (order!) that instead of heading in, we should hang back and casually lob grenades over the wall, and set-up a fire zone outside the exit. It worked out a treat and the grenades halved the enemy forces, the rest piling through the gate to get chewed up by our heavy bolter.

Curious: How do you run these? Just a Ventrilo/Teamspeak/Mumble server with all participants, and doing all the rolls for yourself?
Or do you use any of the myriad online RPG helpers?

For last session, we used the community mumble server and rolled our own dice, as well as using steam chat room for writing things.
I always assumed the DM did all the dice rolling if you didnt use some kind of rpg helper program
I'd be up for joining in a game like this at some point, if only to try it. But i wont be back in the UK until next month.

Personally I have faith in my players otherwise there is no point in playing. Plus if you do all the dice rolls then the other players need not turn up as they need to do so little.

ATTENTION: Brothers, after your victory against the Orks on Armaggedon you have been sent to man our chapter house on the strategically vital world of Volistad. Any information you require about the world is available at your request and I will include the basic topographical information below. Your mission is to man the chapter house and restore it to it's former glory and make it worthy of our Primarch and the Emperor. Secondly you are to provide a reminder to the Govenor Petchenka that the Emperor is always watching, there has been reports of some civil unrest and I wish you to remain on guard at all times.
For the Emperor brothers. Good luck.
Volistad is broken up into two main areas – the Paulis Ocean, occupying the western hemisphere, and the land masses of Doscoya, Kopolov, Langtona and Welkonnena, occupying the eastern hemisphere.
The Kopolov Fold, an inactive tectonic fault line and mountain range slices diagonally through Doscoya, dividing it into major Northern and Southern reaches. The Northern Reaches mainly consist of hot ashy wastes intermixed with sparse rolling plains, rocky valleys and scrubby farmland. The partly terraformed Southern Reaches are a bit more hospitable with occasional fertile farmlands, river valleys and alpine mountains, but it is not without its share of strip mined areas, factory cities and ashy plains as well.
Borodni, the main city state, is located in a basin of the largest section of the Kopolov mountains along its northern face and is on the border of the Borod ash plains. Borodni's main function is that of a space port. It is well equipped to provide shelter and support for abundant numbers of large space craft. It is an important way station for the Pargathus Warp points and the only port large enough to handle the necessary volume of craft that would be required were an invasion be required.
The main city of Volistad is the Polvanya Hellspire, located on Volistad's Kopolov steppes. Polvanya's original main spire was toppled when a large meteorite struck a nearby mountain, causing a massive section of that mountain to fragment and impact with the main spire. The huge structure toppled like a megalithic tree, its five mile length falling point down, piercing the hive below, causing the death of hundreds and thousands including all of the noble houses. The whole area of the hive was rendered uninhabitable due to the structural damage and massive chemical and radioactive debris from numerous industrial sites destroyed. A new spire has since been built and a new political infrastructure formed. Also, a manner of religious cult has risen from the event, the Volikstad Order. They tend to inhabit the more accessible ruins of the damaged hive sections and control all forms of commerce that could be gained from its ancient holocaust. It is said that their order also includes things that are less than human. These mutations are said to inhabit and guard the deeper and more central areas of the damaged hive body, as if it were a holy shrine.
Volistad's eco-history has rendered its weather most unusual. Constantly shifting global jet streams, an after effect of the melted polar ice, cause dramatic and sometimes violent pressure shifts that have all but eliminated safe transport across the planet's larger oceans. Travel is restricted between land masses to where the oceans are shallow, where the ionic disturbances are at a minimum. These thermal anomalies, however, cause a moderately temperate equilibrium for Volistad's climate, with no great temperature extremes from one area to the next.

Angus Kestyr – Devastator
Appearance - short black hair, milky blue eyes, medium height/stocky build, skin has been superficially burnt from chemical atmosphere of home world (industrial hive world).
Angus learnt to trade in death from a young age when his Hive home world erupted in a bitter civil war. While from a low caste Angus felt it was his duty to take up arms against the heretical citizens who wanted to cede from the glorious Imperium, joining an urban guerilla kill-squad and quickly becoming skilled with his heavy stubber (high BS).
When Imperial reinforcements arrived it was to find a world that had turned biological and nuclear weapons against itself and thus unfortunately had little left to offer, however auxiliaries from the Imperial Fists Chapter who had accompanied the relief forces were keen to examine the remaining population for potential candidates and Angus was chosen due to his natural fortitude (high T) and leadership skills (high Fel).
The skills Angus learnt defending his home world were put to good use in his training for the Imperial Fists and high affinity with heavy weapons meant his specialisation in the Chapters Devastators was unsurprising (high BS).
Angus' first mission with his squad saw the Imperial Fists spearheading a push on a heavily fortified Tau stronghold with the objective of forcing a breach in its walls. While the mission was a success the casualties were horrific, with Angus the sole survivor of his squad (forlorn hope). While he was commended for the victory, Angus has lost his natural charisma (high Fel) and become withdrawn, speaking few words only when necessary (taciturn).
Angus secretly fears he may be cursed, having brought ruin first to his home world and then to his squad – although logically he knows the fault is not his, he is crushed with the guilt of surviving when his Battle Brothers did not and is driven to ensure it does not happen again.
Although he will not act recklessly Angus is driven to protect the Brothers of his new squad and will gladly sacrifice his life for theirs if necessary.
Also Elesium I will be spending my current 500 xp on a second BS advancement which should make it 61.

I love it Lowkey....cursed you say? Shouldn't ever say that to a GM for we are an evil bunch and perhaps things will go wrong due to the curse ;). Have 400xp for that, really awesome, plus giving justifications was even better. I liked it and the BS increase is fine by me, just keep a check of the total xp spent (including the starting) so I know when you rank up.

Konrad Sigsmund - Proud Assault Marine of the Imperium of Man
Calling Konrad reckless wouldn't quite be fair - let's call him enthusiastic. He'd be more than willing to lay down his life for the empire, but is firm in his belief that his faith will shield him from any "proper" harm. It's with this complete disregard for his own health and safety that he charges into battle, and, curiously enough, it has saved him on more than one occasion - those who hesitate are lost, after all.
Calling Konrad bloodthirsty would also not quite be fair - it's just that he wants to see to it that the enemies of the imperium are well and truly destroyed, and the best way to do that (in this assault marine's opinion) is to split them beneath a chainblade or crush them underfoot. He considers blasters "clumsy and random" (although Konrad has never been much of a marksman) and will tell anyone willing to listen about how chainswords are elegant weapons from a more civilized age. He does this while exuding the sort of charm that leaves others unsure of whether they should love him or hate him.
While Konrad's affinity for getting "up close and personal" with the enemy has netted him an absurd number of very much confirmed kills (and also some that will remain unconfirmed as the remains were too scattered to identify) it has also taken a toll on his body. He's covered with scar tissue from where his power armour has given in, as well as some severe scarring on his face - he considers this charming/character-adding. There are also rumours that he is missing any combination of fingers or toes - these have neither been confirmed nor denied by Konrad.

Fairly succesful session, killing/incapping traitors and scare the hell out of a poor guardsman....and the tunnel! Who knows what will happen next. *Cue evil GM laugh* Well downtime needed folks, just come and find me on steam/mumble to discuss what you do over the next week. You have a chapter house to equip and supplies to requisition, plus you have acccess to some new equipment you can get. Let the building begin!
Oh and anyone hear anything from Kipper? If he misses another session then he will be replaced unfortunatly.

I have a feeling I should begin practising quotes from Aliens...I will be spending 500 XP on Cleanse and Purify (assuming I have access to a Heavy Flamer?) and 200 on a simple strength advancement (making my current strength 43) - could we get some descriptions of the chapter house and surrounding terrain so we can start thinking how to tart up our impenetrable fortress?

Ok I tried to reply to this before but instead of posting my computer decided to go back so I lost everything. Ok first things first.
LowKey you don't have access to a heavy flamer as of yet, you can get a normal flamer if you wish. The XP expenditure seems fine though.
The Chapter House is a large multistory block house. It is black with some weathering on the metal especially near the crenalations atop the house. You have a landing pad suitable for thunderhawks/valkyries on the roof with an access hatch keeping out the weather. The exterior of the building can be changed slightly and you can build extra walls, buildings etc whatever you deem neccesary to protect the chapter house. There are currently two heavy bolter tarantula guns at the entrance to the chapter house (the entrance by foot) and two lascannon tarantula guns at the vehicle bay entrance. Inside the vehicle bay is currently empty but it has space for several vehicles as it desends underground. Inside is slowly starting to come together, candles are being lit again and prayers to the emperor are starting to echo around the halls. You each have a single unadorned cell with the most basic cot to sleep in and with a niche in the wall with a shrine to the emperor. There is a large armoury protected by large blast doors with a variety of old weapons and armour that is in need of a techmarine or a member of the adeptus mechanicus it is also starting to be stocked with your standard weapons and ammo. You do not have an inexhaustible supply of ammunition and grenades of course and you may have to requisition more. There is a large shrine to the emperor in which you can pray and there is also a large training area, though not which you can practice ranged combat due to the space. Finally there is a cognitor with which you can access the history of the keep and the history of the planet. This also has access to the world wide PDF deployments thanks to your liason and to the Arbites systems after having helped out the judges.
The local PDF number approx 2million due to the size of the hives and the importance of the world. There are also a Skitarii (adeptus mechanicus troops) but you have no information on disposition of numbers. Finally at Camp Bastion (meh stealing names is ok if you are the GM) there is a Tallarn armoured and infantry regiment with 30 leman russ battle tanks of varying models and 50 chimeras for appoximatly 1000 troops with an assortment of heavy weapons such as mortars and lascannons. The PDF are deployed mainly at the hives and are used mostly for riot control but there are some deployed at keypoints like the starport.
Any more information you guys want? Also backgrounds from those who havn't submitted them will get you XP aswell as sending DT anything from 'I practice with my chainsword' to a huge detailed description of your painstaking attempts to construct a giant curtain wall brick by brick will get xp, the amount depends on the downtime.

very basic! so a few immediate questions, what the surrounding terrain like? are we on a hill or is it flat etc, is there a road to the vehicle entrance? can we requisition labour/adeptus mechanicus or do we need to keep the location relatively secret?

ah, lots to read. I'm fully intending to spend my downtime. I'd like to spend the daytimes checking the integrity of the chapterhouse, before we add anything else, better to know any direct weaknesses. I'd like to spend the evenings reciting my litanies to the emperor and practicing with my new power axe with my Serfs.

Pretty much exactly like that Lowkey, you are on a kinda plataeu, so for about 200 metres it stretches out totally flat and barren before starting to gradual dip away about 20 metres so not really too high above everything. There is a dirt track leading to both doors currently but you can pave it if you so wish. You can get labour in to help, but also that means more chance someone may find your chapter house who means you harm. So it is a toss up, the adeptus mechanicus....well you'll have to send them a message and find out, the fabricator-general may take your call. You can quite easily get a few platoons of pdf to do the menial labour stuff if you wish, filling sandbags and digging trenches is their life basically.
I'll say 100 xp for that DW.

Do both the entrances have heavy doors? Two routes is a lot to defend. I thought it might also be cool if we some sort of window on the second floor that LowKey can rain fire down from.
I spend my downtime with glee investigating the chainswords in the armoury, as well as the local records about said chainswords. I find the histories behind them fascinating.
I also practice with DW - getting better at those simultaneous launches (that I've seemed to have some trouble with) is important.
edit: I suggest we build a nice outdoors training area for testing out more explosive weapons - space is important.

Both entrances have heavy metal doors, would take repeated lascannon hits to even remotely break through it. The vehicle doors I should say are flush to the ground, they open and it reveals a ramp down into the garage. Easier to defend that way, plus it allows a large vehicle bay without having a giant ground floor.

Don't play with the Lascannon in the house? The following are my thoughts gents, do feel free to shoot them down elesium if you feel they're too silly - the following is what I have been doing with my downtime.
Having surveyed the Chapter House and its surrounding terrain extensively I have summarised a list of what I feel are of most pressing concern. While this planet on the surface remains secure, the current unrest has encouraged my desire to ensure we have a strong defensive centre of command. Subsequently I recommend that we:
Begin construction of forward defences - preferable some form of curtain wall, however at the least we should have tactically spaced ditches, embankments, barbed wire fields and tank traps, supported by mines if possible.
Contact Govenor Petchenka and make the following requests, that 1) he provides us with Hydra anti-aircraft emplacements which we could install on the roof of the Chapter House, preferably four but two should suffice, 2) provides us with construction servitors to assist the serfs in the rebuilding and defences, 3) provide us with a company from the PDF to again assist with the construction - however I would insist that these men be mind-wiped after the completion of their work as I would be loathe to give our location away to so many without knowing their character, if this is not possible then we should make do with the servitors and serfs.
Make contact with the representatives from the Adaptus Mechanicus of this world and request that they 1) Dispatch a team of priests to assess the well-being of our current arms and armour to ensure the armoury is well stocked, 2) inquire into what defensive instruments they may be able to provide us with, such as further heavy weapons emplacements or perhaps combat servitors, and 3) a survey into our current command equipment, notably the range and quality of our stationary auspex and inquire into possible upgrades if necessary.
These requests are not insubstantial and I am loathe to put us into too deep a debt with either the Mechanicus or the Governor, however I do believe they are necessary.

Anyway serious now, you can get a few construction servitors and the PDF but he won't allow the mindwipe (plus you don't have the facilities to do so and no, a bolter to the face doesn't count as a mindwipe) what he will do is give you a company of PDF to be stationed there to man defences for you if you wish? They'd need a small base (barracks, cook house etc) but would be on hand for defence aswell as for construction.
The Mehanicus we will do at the start of next session as that will require some rolls of fellowship etc ass how well you do will determine what support he gives you, but also whether he hinders you later perhaps, the Mechanicus are very secretive after all.
You can add a FCS (fire control system) within a command centre of your chapter house which has a planet map with troops marked on it. Your auspex measures out to about a mile around your chapter house and you will have to speak to the Mechanicus about that when we run that. You can add a single quad barrel autocannon to the roof of your chapter house immediatly and more will be added later, these are not automated currently.

Ok then if its alright with everyone I would accept the use of a company of PDF and its support staff, however they would need to bring their own equipment and prefab structures which could be put up near the chapter house - they can have access to the vehicle bay (assuming the bays access to the rest of the chapter house can be secured) for their chimeras and sentinels - they would have no access to the rest of chapter house without being accompanied by a Brother or Serf, although their commanders or commissars should be assured that they can contact us if necessary, and they should begin construction of the defenses after they have established their base following these (basic!) blueprints

That is fine, we will do the mechanicus stuff on friday just before the session starts if that is ok? Oh and have 500 xp not only for the DT but for that awesome map . They will build everything on your map ready for the start of the session there is 100 guys about 2 platoons worth plus support staff. They store 6 support sentinels (armed with lifters) plus 2 multi laser armed sentinels. They also have 2 chimeras there.
Just a note guys, friday start time is 7pm (an hour early) just do to RL issues of having to leave really early (3am) on saturday. Anyone who hasn't done DT or background get it in before then please!

I am Gunnar Invictus, and have been transferred into Deathwatch to join your killteam.
I am small for a space marine, only 6ft6inches, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Born on a Feral world who's name I never learned, I grew up in a band of urchin raiders, and became a well rounded child soldier. One day we stumbled across a ruined ancient tank which we salvaged for parts and weapons, From this I learned how to operate its abandoned and damaged autocannon, which we used to conduct raids against other local towns
I was recruited into the Space Marines after an Ork Spacehulk surfaced near my planet and ork bandits ravaged my country, leaving me as the sole survivor of my village and was discovered after attempting engage space marines who had arrived to clean up the orks. While I failed to injure any of the Marines due to the quality of my weapon they were impressed by my ability to hit them accurately at 250m. Because of my abilities one marine decided to engage me in combat without his power armor, and beat me to within an inch of my life. Surviving this served as my Trial.
Even as a trainee Space Marine the massive loss of my friends as a child weighed heavily on me, leaving me taciturn, and unwilling to socialise much. Despite this I have stuck with my combat training regimen well, and feel that I am essentially a grown up version of the well rounded combat ready child soldier I once was.
Once I became a full Space Marine in the Imperial Fists I specialized as a Devestator, putting my rudimentary knowledge of autocannons and my natural ability to wield a firearm to use. While once I struggled even to carry my autocannon, requiring the help of friends, I am now able to use and fire it with ease.
My first campaign was on Mirial where the Tyranid Hive Fleet Leviathan had attacked. Tasked with defending an outcrop of rock deemed strategically important we inflicted heavy causalities but were overrun on the 5th day, though overall we as an army managed to repell the invasion 2 days later. I was the only member of my squad to escape alive. Following the devastating second loss of my friends and brothers I was recruited into Deathwatch, where I stand before you, willing to fight for the Emperor once again.
(Elesium has said I can join your group, so I made this character. If you don't know me I hang around in RPS a fair bit, and know liquorish a bit)

The rumours of my sword being tainted by chaos are lies and slander. It has a pure machine spirit.
I will be spending 1500xp on intermediate strength and trained weapon skill.
I also figured out that I should be taking -10 on all my To Hit tests because of dual wielding.

lots of XP to spend! with regards to the heavy flamer, I didn't realise it was a terminator weapon (weird that devastators have a flamer upgrade talent in rank 1 when there's no flamer heavy weapon!), I can take an exotic weapon talent at rank 1 for 500 XP and if its ok with you I would be happy to use that for it (perhaps I could request the mechanicus put together a marine portable heavy flamer with back pack fuel tanks?) however if you prefer I dont have one (too powerful etc) thats ok, ill spend the remaining 1000 XP on another ballistic upgrade, making my BS 66, did we get any renown for that session (and does it matter?)

You can have a heavy flamer, I am happy to give you a bit OP weapons....however there may be a downside like the autocannon. I will check the rules and talk it through with you and see what we both agree on. Give it some background fluff like getting mechanicus to make you a light weight fuel tank or something and that will help you a lot.

actually looking at the weapons stats again, are we sure I cant use the heavy flamer normally? It's down as a heavy weapon rather than mounted (as the assault cannon and cyclone missile launcher are) and its requisition is less than the lascannon and its damage is less than the heavy bolter... :D

Also there IS a downside to my gun. I can fire it once every 2 turns, and ideally with a turn to set up also. Just happened to be that in that situation I was in the perfect position to utterly murder 3 enemies. My damage output is actually less than a heavy bolter, just at longer ranges. Let's assume we're both firing full auto -
I do 4x10 + 5 across 5 rounds. The maximum I can do is 225 every 2 turns
A heavy bolter does 2d10+10 over 10 rounds. Across 2 turns that's a maximum of 600 damage.
However, because I am rolling more dice I'll admit I'm more likely to score a righteous vengeance extra round though I don't know if I can fire that vengeance round at another target in a group.
However, because of armor I'm better at killing large targets -
Let's assume we're both rolling magic dice that always hit 10s, and we ignore all the stuff natural 10s cause except their damage.
The enemy has 10 armor -
I hit the target with 1 round for 40 - 6 (because of my 4AP) doing 34 damage.
The autocannon fires 2 rounds which also do 40, but its actually (20 - 5) x 2, which is 30.
Basically the advantage of my autocannon isn't my damage, but my range, which is 25% further than the heavy bolter.
I don't mean to sound daft but it might actually be more balanced if I DON'T have the 2 turn refire thing because even then my damage is going to be lower.

The maths above is pretty flawed, as elesium pointed out to me. Hits are calculated with degrees of success, not on a per bullet basis. Disregard the above.

edit: Disregard what I wrote here before about scopes, can I put a melee attachment on my gun so I can actually fight if someone walks up to me and tries to eat me, without having to drop my gun?
Chaos space marines can do it, why can't I? :D
Would give me the ability to use a Combat Knife (1d10+2 (2AP)) or a Chainsword (1d10+3(4AP)) which does Tearing but isn't balanced like the normal one.

Uh I just noticed we don't need to Brace apparently.
My character has Bulging Biceps as one of the skills that I apparently Just Have.
Prerequisites: Strength 45
Whereas a weaker man would be sent flying when using
heavy weapons, the character’s strong physique allows him to
remain standing . The character can fire heavy weapons using
Semi-Auto Burst or Full Auto Burst without bracing, and he
does not suffer the –30 penalty for failing to brace

For cases like that Chapter takes precedence, then Specialisation, then General. If Specialisation has it as Rank 7 but General has it as Rank 1....you gotta wait till 7.

As my brothers may recall when we last fought the Xenos I took one of their heads as a trophy. I intend to mount this on my shoulder, to commemorate my first combat with my new brothers, and to show my hatred of the Xenos who killed my previous Brothers. I have also began to mark my autocannon to show the aliens I have slain. I have carved 3 small notches into the shouldermount of my gun. I will spend the rest of my time split between drilling with my Autocannon ((Giving me the skills Eye of Vengeance, and Mighty Shot)) and practicing operating our Rhino incase the need arrises that we must use it.

Well that was interesting. Gunrun now has another head to add to his collection and you're all doomed.
Killed a Lictor and shot down a Valkyrie. Nids are on there way, be there in a week or 2. Relief forces are 3/4 weeks out.
You can now add 3 regiments of Mordian Iron Guard and two Tallarn Infantry to the defence of the planet alongside 2 basilisk regiments and 3 Tank regiments. You guys decide whether you wanna control all the defences of the planet or whether you wanna leave that to a General (me).
Not sure when the next session will be yet, but guys keep checking the thread to find out!

Ok we'll lets just say for my downtime (and previous mission) I have been in near constant meetings with senior Imperial Guard, PDF, Planetary Naval staff and of course the 'wise' Planetary Governor to convince them of the coming threat -
Apologies for my absence, ensuring these foolish commanders see eye to eye has been like squeezing blood from a Necron, however I have secured overall command, leaving the senior commanders to generally manage themselves unless we say otherwise.
The PDF are to secure critically important locations (eg orbital defence batteries, shield generators, the remaining astropaths, population centres (last...)), they will be supported by Imperial Guard troops and armour to provide the PDF with some backbone, civil conscription has been enforced to provide the ground forces with some cannon fodder and I have recommended that the command of this militia be offered to the Arbities. I believe the judges to be a finer fighting force than the PDF but their numbers are few.
The mechanicus will be stationing troops and specialist equipement where avaliable but I would be surprised if we saw more than a few combat servitors leave their forge. However I have assurances that their Magos Biologistous will provide us with any advice we may need against the coming xenos scum.
The navy have been ordered to begin securing the systems perimeter and to engage enemy ships with hit and run tactics - it is unlikely that they will be able to delay the Tyranids significantly but it may buy us time.
Other than this, the defence will rely on our intervention at strategic intervals, be prepared brothers - let us hope the Emperor protects us from the ravages of the alien more than I was protected from the ravings of idiot officials.

Ok, after not feeling 100% last time I've kinda ran out of steam for this. I wanna know what you guys think, are you enjoying it? What kinda thing do you want to see more of? Less of? I kinda want feedback here to let me have some idea what you guys are enjoying and not enjoying etc With the way combat works it feels for me that some of you guys are getting a bit bored from the combat centric gameplay. Is the level of combat fine? Want a more social esque session? Any and all feedback is handy.

I think its going well, combat can be a bit slow but thats the mechanics and the online play nature, if it was Dark Heresy or Rogue Trader I'd probably prefer a bit extra intrigue and dialogue but Deathwatch is all about the dakka

I am thinking the next story will have more intrigue and if anyone wants there may be oppurtunity to drop your character and play as something else, or incase anyone dies which is a real possibility, I feel like I have been holding your hand a lot, giving you a few easy things to deal with. Yeah combat is slow and I am doing my best to try and work around that, I do have one idea that I will try for the next session.
