Avatar pictures

Hi I know this is probably a dumb question but is there any place I can get an avatar picture or what is the best place to make a photo small so I can use one of them. Sorry for my lack of techie know how.

well to find avatar pictures you just need to google it! If you've got a picture on your comp, you could always take it to adobe photoshop, change the canvas size and then holding down shift( well I know its shift in adobe fireworks but don't quote me) it will keep the proportions so you can just squeeze it down.

Photoshop? IrfanView is free and does it perfectly fine.
