Seen on Indie Games (http://indiegames.com/2011/09/lifeless_planet_pre-orders_ope.html), the game is now up for pre-order-like Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/davidboard/lifeless-planet-a-new-cinematic-sci-fi-adventure-g).
It does look rather lovely and intriguing, I'll definitely make a pledge. It's the first time ever I consider using Kickstarter, but the trailer really speaks to me. In strange, alien voices.

Yeah, there's something about it that piqued my interest. A bit mysterious, potentially creepy perhaps (reminded me of the vibe I got watching Moon or Solaris or Sunshine actually). I'm not quite sure I want to throw money at it, given that there are whole games I could buy for that amount right now, but I'm certainly tempted.

The gameplay (but not the setting) will be very similar to the game ICO: exploring and ultimately trying to escape your surroundings. However, there will be a bit more narrative in Lifeless Planet.
OK, can anyone explain the gameplay of ICO?

Looks interesting but is it terrible that when it was landing all I could think was "parachutes don't work on alien worlds?" and when he got out "why are his legs so short?".
Does look pretty good though.
If its anything like ICO then I guess you lead another character (who is pretty defenceless) around environments defending them whilst solving puzzles.

ICO is pretty much a game-long escort mission but it's actually fun, unlike every other escort mission in existence.

Looks like the Lifeless Planet met it's $8,500 goal. That was rather quick but then again it was advertized on many gaming related pages.

Excellent - it'd be a real shame if a game concept like this shouldn't see the light of day.

Looking forward to seeing this!

Whuh? If it's got an atmosphere a parachute will work just fine.
