I'm in the Closed Beta for Gotham City Impostors!

I got lucky and just found an invite to the upcoming closed (or technical, no idea) beta for Gotham City Impostors in my mailbox.

It sounds like a pretty crazy and awesome game and I'm excited because this is my first beta :P
So, is anyone else here in there as well?

I've, um, heard, that the GCI Beta is referred to as a 'Technical Beta Program (TBP)', not as a 'closed' Beta. That may be just a rumor, however.

Honestly, I have no idea. It's my first beta and I'm pretty excited :P Could you explain the difference? I just reread what I wrote, I sound quite boasty, that wasn't my intention at all. I'm just excited :D

Well, without actually knowing anything about this, I would assume it to mean that it is what is generally referred as a 'stress-test', IE to see how servers handle latency/ping between different players, numbers of players/matches, etc... That, or it could be just marketing bullshit for a closed Beta.

Honestly, it feels like closed beta to me. Servers and clients aren't up yet and we are the first to test it afaik.

I got the same email as well, still no Diablo III invite though, which is what i was really hoping for.
GCI looks really fun though, i just hope it just doesn't clash with the Battlefield 3 beta.

Btw, I don't think saying you got in the beta breaks the NDA. :P

I was just kidding, we can speak about the beta in general, just not in specific terms I think. I wonder if I will be even able to play since there will be only US servers and I'm from Germany, guess I'll just pick a weapon that goes along well with lag :)

I got an invite too. They really made the second part of the opt-in process a pain in the ass. The email I got does, indeed, confirm it to be a "Technical Beta Program," and I have yet to sign any NDAs.

I think you sign the NDA when you enter the forums or something like that, the NDA is posted in the forums at least.
