Steam store link here. (http://store.steampowered.com/app/10220/?snr=1_4_4__105_1)

At what point do you go, "Y'know, Postal 2 was a good and well received game, let's make a sequel to it!"? Seriously.

Also, has anyone else heard of this or not? I've not seen ANYTHING on it (I didn't even know it was coming out) until I saw that Steam store link.

Even more disappointing because I read the title as "Portal 3?!"

It's been in development since 2006 apperently. RPS has posted about it a few times since 2008: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/tag/postal-III/ and the newest trailer:

Postal 2 had an audience, whatever you thought of it.

The demo of the first Postal is one of the first games I ever played on a PC. It was actually quite good - a simple old fashioned shooter. Wouldn't cut it today, obviously, though it'd kill some time well enough. Looking back at the whole game on youtube a while back, it was quite interesting, being about a deeply disturbed person on a "cleanse them all" killing spree, rather than just LOL VIOELCNE IS HILARIUS. Nothing spectacular, but way more disturbing and controversial if you sat down and examined it.

Postal 2 is one of those games which is very silly and fun, sure its immature and it doesn't improve video game art but sometimes you just want to take a persons head with a shovel and use a cat gun crossbow. Thats what I found fun with it...if this new game does that I might actually play it a bit.

I agree. Postal 2 wasn't particularly inspired or clever or anything of the sort... but at least it didn't pretend to be. The same can't be said for a lot of games today trying to be satirical and failing miserably while being oh-so-serious.
