What are the Folk sessions?
Comrades of ARPS, you have a standing invitation to join the Folk sessions and play your part in the struggle for collectivisation of farms and tractors for all.

Thanks ... but that doesn't answer my question. What are the Folk sessions like?
The style of Folk sessions is not MilSim, but it does require an organised, tactical approach to playing ArmA. Missions played in the Folk sessions rarely feature revive, and never use respawn - but they are also designed to be short (20-30 minutes). You might look at 2 years+ of after action report threads in the Folk forum (http://www.ferstaberinde.com/folk/forum/viewforum.php?f=10), or check the YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/thisisfolk).

When are the Folk sessions?
Every Sunday at 19:20 UK (20:20 CET). Be sure to arrive on time if you want a slot in the first mission (JIP is usually not enabled until mission #2).

What is the Arma 2: Combined Operations server address?

Address: server.herosquad.org
Port: 2402
Password: freedom

Will I need any addons or mods?
No, Folk plays vanilla Arma 2: Combined Operations and the server does not require any addons - but you will need TeamSpeak 3 (http://teamspeak.com/). You can install and use clientside addons as you wish (excluding ACE2, ACRE). Folk sessions often have at least one adversarial mission, so please be sensible with mods that could unfairly enhance your performance.

What is the TeamSpeak 3 server address?

Cool. Is there anything else I should know?
Nothing vital, but if you want to get the most out of the Folk sessions, there are a few threads that will help ensure you get the best experience:

What is Folk? (http://www.ferstaberinde.com/folk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17)
What is the Folk platoon? (http://www.ferstaberinde.com/folk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=436) (Updated)
Getting started with TeamSpeak 3 (for ArmA2) (http://www.ferstaberinde.com/folk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=92)

Anything else?
No, although we do encourage you to open a Folk forum account (http://www.ferstaberinde.com/folk/forum/ucp.php?mode=register) if you plan to play in the sessions. It gives you full access to all the sub-forums, and allows us to send you advance notice of joint sessions etc.

Great. Can we get to shooting people already?
Welcome to the struggle for a socialist agrarian utopia, comrade!
