Hello chaps,Sometimes in the tech world there's ONE thing that everyone agrees is the best thing to get at a particular price. I've got about 150 to buy a 1920 x 1080 monitor. Anyone got an idea? Some gaming will be had, naturally.Thanks.

Well, if image quality / colour accuracy is a major concern then I'd recommend chucking-in another 20 for one of these (http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/23%22+Dell+UltraSharp+U2312HM+Widescreen+IPS+LED+M onitor+?productId=46999&source=googleps). It uses an IPS panel which produces much more natural pictures than the TN panels most displays use. Only problem is the response times aren't as quick, but from what I gather it isn't really a problem.

I would wait until Jeremy Laird's next RPS hardware post, which will be about monitors. His CPU and GPU posts were excellent.

In case you missed it, Mr Laird pointed you in the direction of the AOC i2352vh

Thank you all. Budget restraints mean I'm stuck with the old Samsung 1680x1050.

What Samsung is that? I'm looking for a 1680x1050 Samsung.
