Ah, Les Misérables! One of the classic novels of the 19th century. Imagine someone adapted it as a videogame. What genre would it be? A visual novel, perhaps? Maybe an adventure game?

Yep, that's right: In the late 90s, a Japanese man with the name Takase created a brawler based on Les Misérables named ArmJoe. It's not even terrible, really. Amongst the fighters you choose from are not only the characters from the original novel but also a personification of justice, a robot version of Jean Valjean(!) and a cartoon rabbit named Ponpon who drives a car(!!!). My good Anthile, you may think now. Surely you jest, nothing like this could ever exi-
