That's mine. Mostly on Steam anyway, though some are retail. I started adding my Amiga collection as well. But not any console stuff, as I rarely, if ever, go on any now.

A couple of years ago I ditched all the jewel cases and stuff and packed the CDs and DVDs into a giant CD folder. (I was doing the same with my audio CDs at the same time-- I found a place that sells CD folders that can hold 750 CDs and, uh, ordered six of them.) I kept the boxes for things with interesting cases, and I packed the manuals in with the discs, but still. It's a heavy folder...

I'll take a picture when I get a chance...

I tried to keep my old PC Game boxes over the years, but five moves in five years did them all in.

Now I have 300 games on my steam list. I need to buy a 5TB raid and see if I can install them all at once!

It was moving a few times in several years (curses to the rental market here in Blighty) that made me go fully digital, music and games. I really don't miss the plastic boxes or crappy scratchable discs, but some of the manuals/cd-inlays were great.

I did hear about another one that had some nice features (like a distinction between finished as in finishing the main game, and completed as in getting all achievements) and integrated goals so you could set a schedule for clearing your backlog. Though I can't remember what it was called and last I heard they were having trouble keeping up with the server load, so it may be dead.

There is the Backloggery (http://www.backloggery.com/) which isn't so much a virtual shelf as it is a tool to keep track of how many games you're buying in Steam sales and then never touching again.

You're just on time too, since they opened up registrations again yesterday. I hope you have plenty of time available to catalogue your collections. :)

Considering that I only started buying games about five or six years ago instead of mostly pirating them (Yeah, yeah, I know.) I think I'm doing alright. Also not pictured are the games I've lost over the years and another box that never got unpacked during the last move and the games I sold recently to a second-hand store. You never realise what eclectic tastes you have until you lay them all out and compare with other people's collections do you? Also pictured - my toddler's foot and also the reason some of my films ended up in the collection.

Since I've been buying pc games since '95 my collection would have been a bit too big to keep on shelves so its all in boxes in the loft. I prefer not to get a physical disc for any game now, its too much of a pain to find them when you want to play it several years later. Steam is much better

Ok, I'll bite, but only because my physical games rack is right next to me in the corner. There are more then this, but this is the 50 (well, 49+Jarhead for some reason at the moment) that fit on the rack.

Dont worry. I've started buying instead of pirating less than a year ago. And considering that here even the government uses pirated copies of Windows, AND no one knows what PayPal or Steam is, I think I'm doing great!

Fine, here's my Darkadia. (http://darkadia.com/member/icupnimpn2/library) I've included DD games I own or otherwise have the rights to play, including freebies. I'd say 97% were gained within the past 12 months since my PC stopped crashing from overheating and I bought a mid-range graphics card. I've nearly abandoned console play since then and have been a happy camper.

Here’s an extremely blurry picture from my extremely crappy web camera of my cabinet’s top two shelves which contain well over two hundred PC Games:

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh154/AEedwin/games.png

The top left section is all RPGs. Drakensang, Gothic, Fallout, Vampire Bloodlines, Alpha Protocal, Baldur’s Gate, Morrowind, etc.

The top right section contains some action adventure stuff like Overlord, the Jedi Knight trilogy, and Fable TLC. Then for some reason it goes into Lucasarts point & click adventure and comes out at independent stuff such as Darwinia, Penumbra, Plants vs Zombies, Mount & Blade.

The bottom left contains the Thief trilogy, Warcraft 3, Sam & Max, Max Payne, Vice City, and it ends with Freedom Force, Freelancer, Sid Meier’s Simgolf, World of Goo - basically any sense of order on this shelf goes to hell.

There’s also a few big boxed games down in the lower shelves. Shadow of the Horned Rat, Betrayal at Krondor, Stonekeep, Ultima Underworld, System Shock, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, Bladerunner, Eye of the Beholder, and so on.

I don't actually have all that many boxes left from the olden days - anything cardboard I junked, though if there was a jewel case and manual I've still got those. Not that I have many old retail games, anyway - the first one I ever bought was Age of Empires, so, 1998 or whatever. Maybe I should take a shot of all the manuals?

There's this (http://darkadia.com/member/cjlr/library), though. Man, I spent too much time putting all that in.

Coolest physical thing I have is that World in Conflict collector's edition. Piece of rubble from the Berlin Wall. Epic.

I must have a thousand, got 3 128 disk bags, and a half filled 256, so that's 512 disks, but some games are multidisk(sure a handful of disks are multigame but they hardly figure in) but even if that's just 400 games I easily have the same again in their box crates so they can be near manuals and cd keys.

I purged my floppy disk collection several years ago, space hulk, syndicate, dune2, thing is I never played them on pc but they were sold dual format with the Amiga versions.

I need to start purging(sell/bin/donate) cd's and boxes that have no value to me.
