"I Am Alive" Is Not Coming To PC?!

I thought this game was cancelled, but then UBI seemed to change its development status from cancellation to on hold some time in last year. Even since then I havent heard any news about it...till now. Some of my friends have been playing it on Playstation and Xbox, but hey, no PC version? Obviously it is not available in disc format but whatever. All I concern is if I have access to this game because I only play on PC. I ask around and, damn, most PC stores with updated PC gaming news inform me that this game will not be out on PC.

I like Raw Danger and Disaster Report on Playstation 2, and therefore I looked forward to this game. This is not cool, UBI.

I assume you missed THIS (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/11/23/i-am-alive-dev-dismisses-bitching-pc-users/), and then the kind of weak and not entirely convincing retraction/stand-down/backtrack (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/11/25/i-am-alive-might-yet-be-alive-on-pc/). To sum up...

1) PC Gamers bitch about things and don't really want the game. We're only complaining because we don't have the game. If it was released on PC, none of us would buy it.
2) Piracy!
3) Even if the PC gamers did want it, there isn't a big enough market for them on PC.

Apparently, he didn't really mean any of those things... and they were still looking in to the 'feasability' of a PC release. But it seems to have been completely buried since then.

The original dev got canned in 2010 and Ubisoft took it in-house. It got downgraded to an arcade title, and the reviews weren't very good (http://www.giantbomb.com/i-am-alive/61-21107/reviews/). In retrospect his assessment was on the ball, but we didn't have the context.

Oops, really missed that RPS report. So there may not be PC port unless they change their mind...

Sigh, all they need to do is to recode so that the already existing programme runs on x86 PC, for 50,000 gamers that's a great deal. And they don't bother to do just that......
