I’m building an iOS app that shows an interactive map of Chernarus, and highlights useful places and buildings. I’m looking for a few people to help me test it, and to get feedback on how it helps and where it can be improved.

If you’re interested, and are running iOS 5.0 are later, please sign up as a tester:

Sign up for TestFlight at http://is.gd/dayzapp
In Safari on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, go to http://testflightapp.com/dashboard/ to register your device.
Post a reply here so I know who you are on the forums :)
Thank you! I’ll be sending out the first beta on Monday evening (UK time).

I just submitted my Day-Z map app to the app store! If anybody could help me test it out, I'll give you a free promo code if you give me feedback. You can sign up to beta test at http://www.dayzmaps.com/rockpapershotgun.html.

I’ll re-sign the app to include you (And Sarlac) when I get home tonight. You’ll get an email when that happens, and you just go to the testflight site on your device to install the app.

I would love to, but that’s actually misleading. I looked at the DayZ server scripts, and it randomly chooses *any* area of the map that’s open ground for spawning crashed helicopters—it’s not a random choice from predefined locations.

Second beta is out! All of you who signed up should have an email with the install link (or just go to testflightapp.com again).

Unless there are any showstoppers, I’ll be finishing off a couple of bits and bobs and submitting to the App Store in a few days.

I think it's been submitted to apple and should be available through the app store in a week or so. It looks great though and will be a very useful tool.

@mysticsentai, stemmy97, and Nanne118 -- Thanks for signing up, but I won't be putting out another beta release of this version; the app will be submitted tomorrow, and will be available in the App Store soon after (I'll post a note here). It'll be free, too. I'll add you to my list though, and get back to you when I begin testing the next version.

For the other testers: thank you for trying it out and giving me your feedback. Special thanks to Sarlac for doing on-location research all over Chernarus! I will be sending you all the submitted version so you get it a few days early.

Eight days on and it’s still in the review queue. I’ve just sent out the final beta build to mysticsentai, stemmy97, Nanne118, and bobbeh, because the wait is taking longer than I expected.

I’ve also just put the website up: take a sneak peek here if you’re interested: http://beancoastapp.com/

Unfortunately I have run into some unforeseeable issues with the App Store review, so the app has been delayed while I make some changes to it. If all goes well, it will be released later this month.

Oh man, that's a drag. Sorry to hear. What kind of changes did they request to the app? Let us know if you need any help with further testing.
