Hey guys being a bit of a cheeky bugger and posting a game what I have made. It's called 'the Tower' and is a 2d sidescroller in which you have to shoot your way to the roof of a tower block while collecting and upgrading weapons along the way.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2011/6/24/3157362/My%20Documents/theTower%28release%201%29.rar

download is a 9.3mb (rar'd) exe and is PC EXCLUSIVE! ;)

Anyway, I would appreciate any feedback good or bad from anyone who has a go with it.

Hope you enjoy.

This is actually pretty hard! I started it on Insane thinking "Ha! This looks easy!" and then started screaming like a little girl.
That said it is pretty fun although I've encountered one bug (Or maybe it's a feature) where at a certain range infront of you (Just a couple of feet) your gun does nothing and you're left to be deaded.

Yeah I meant to include a little note on hard and insane difficulty. If you use the 'resume' option on the menu, you start from the first level with all the weapons you have collected and all upgrades from your last playthrough. So it makes sense to play through on the lower difficulties, get some upgrades then try hard and insane.
The close range shooting could be described as a bug that became a feature :). When you fire your weapon a bullet is created that actually travels across the screen (although it isn't drawn) and each bullet always has the potential to miss ( or hit an enemy further away). This shouldn't happen with the shotgun though making that the tool of choice for super close range shooting.
Thanks for the reply man, glad you enjoyed it
