[AAR] 12 July - Random Pre-Americas Night Session.

So after some Mount and Blade Warband last night a few of us eventually settled back into some Arma2 and had some pretty awesome fun, it ended up spilling on a little bit too late into Americas Thursday.. but luckily we were just about done and I was exhausted.

Escape Chenarus

This mission was attempted a number of times at a previous session but ended in failure pretty rapidly.
We started out with just 3 of us, which was actually pretty beneficial as it allowed us to be fairly stealthy to some extent.
Fairly early on I mistook a couple of civilians for a patrol and killed them both, which naturally upped the odds somewhat. What followed was quite a blur but we had a pretty impressive jaunt across Chenarus culminating in a heroic escape from the island. The most hilarious of which is when we were about 1000m away from the escape point and started joking about how hilarious it would be if we were attacked by a hind. At which point a chopper appeared :D

All in all, great fun.

Stealthy mission with the villa and the ambush (I forget its name)

For some reason in this mission we adopted cockney accents, which was both awesome and hilarious. What proceeded was something like a mix of the awesome voice acting from the PMC add-on.. and Ross Kemp.
Prehaps the most funny part was when the guys for the Americas Thursdays showed up, and we suddenly realized how it must have seemed that there were a bunch of UK SAS hogging the server speaking in ridiculous voices. I intend to continue this tradition... http://youtu.be/_2SHQAVVXQ0

My first Americas night (being on the server by pure chance!), the over abundance of a British theme for this evening was quite funny.

Midnight riders was the pinicle of this Britishness, the other missions that followed came with an assortment of death but they were still fun!

Yall upped our player count for America's Night which was great since it's been down the last couple of weeks. And yeah, our walk away from that explosion failed quite miserably.
