Cheers to Tiger for hosting, stupidly large amounts of death was had by all members.

First up was
River Assault - remnants of Delta and Echo eventually secured the guns on the far river bank for a hard fought victory
then
Vanguard - Everyone got slaughtered
Swept - IND caught most of OPFOR in a deadly crossfire to win the day
Generals - Blufor capped the Taki general in the noggin to secure the glory

Finally a round of Kettles to finish off with.

Cheers for turning up and getting shot with us, particularly if it was a first time. You are more than welcome to join in the Folk session on sunday at the same time just check the thread.

River Assault
Echo AAR
We forded, and pretty much the first thing that happened was a BMP took out our AR. I took over, and we proceeded towards the bunkers, engaging whatever shot our way. Soon enough, we were observing the main enemy compound from the bunkers, with what I presume was Delta huddled behind a building some 200m away. In the meanwhile, we heard CO went swimming and, bizarrely, Echo FTL was in charge. We got patched up, and while Delta took the compound, I took the western emplacements and prepared to fend the rapidly amassing enemy force. The mission ended as I started spraying.

Vanguard
Bravo 1 AAR
I, for one would like to apologize on behalf of bravo squad for hogging all the glory of initial contact. Apparently, someone aggroed a gun emplacement, and most of us were dead before the others even started shooting. The remaining members of bravo, as well as the rest of the platoon, displayed an amazing amount of creativity in choosing the path to their ultimate downfall.

Swept
OPFOR Bravo 1 AAR
Died shortly in to heavy fire from the western hill, but not before dealing with defectors from our ranks.

Generals
OPFOR Bravo 1 RMAT
Secured the southern part of Elektrozavodsk, but ultimately the general's gambit failed, and he got killed.

I was one of the new guys!!

I have to confess I wasn't sure what was going on a lot of the time so I just followed my squad leader about. The brief periods of times that I was alive were fun though.

Cheers!

One of the last Bravo squad here. For once, I did not fail epically (The last round I drove Draakon and another into a river in a car. We all died). Well, I charged towards a BTR-40, expecting to die, instead killing the gunner, the replacement gunner, the driver and the commander. Me and the only surviving squad leader then commandeered it, drove around a bit, got fixed up, and began our death charge. Holding near a broken armoured car, we opened fire on who we assumed to be fleeing enemies.
Turns out, they were getting into positions. The echoes of rounds clattering off the armour became frantic. I yelled "Reverse, Reverse, Reverse!"
It... it was too late.
I died from several LMG shots to the forehead.

What a glorious session this was!

River Assault - I don't really remember which fireteam I was, but we all died from a friendly grenade when we swam over the river and one of our guys lost everything but a grenade. It was hilarious. I just had time to see Draakon drowning, which made me laugh a lot.

Vanguard - I was in Bravo. I think everybody knows what being in Bravo meant. We were the most glorious squad. I got to watch Madtoaster find redemption and even more glory for Bravo when he soloed a BTR, stole it and proceeded to shoot many men. Great work!

I remember seeing your fireteam alive one moment and dead the next. Very much an "Oh shit!" moment.

All I can say is, we hit 115 MPH going down a hill through a town. :D

Was great fun though!
