So tonight was the first, although unofficial at the time, theme night!

We had a few themes with various prizes tonight.

all PTH melee battle

gotta go FAT! heavy only game

Next friday we will do more themes(some the same) and more giveaways.

of note tonight was Deaglan with 41 melee kills! He won Analogue: a Hate Story.

Let me know if you have any ideas for themes.

On the theme of a heavies game, and inspired by the thread on Brute builds (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/forums/showthread.php?5884-The-BRUTAL-disco-Lets-talk-about-Brutes) that has got me experimenting and having a lot of fun with my Brutes...how about a 'Disco Night' for Brutes only'? For extra giggles, make it a CTF. You'll believe a fat man can fly...

Once I get the UPS delivery that I'm waiting for, I'll be home and look to play.

Until then... :|

Hey I know this isn't the right place, but I can't create threads yet!

Anyhow I was talking to AuralViolations about a possible scrim tonight against my newbloods team Envexia, but couldn't get back to him last night.

If there's anybody interested let me know here! We don't have a time set but ideally if it was at about 7pm GMT that'd be great!

Any takers?

Sounds good. I'm in.

26-09-2012, 03:02 PM
I'll try to make it, sounds fun. Give me a poke on steam around the time.

26-09-2012, 05:15 PM
I'll be there as well. Everyone get onto mumble (server.herosquad.org) a few minutes before and if I need to I can send out a steam message to hopefully grab a few others.

26-09-2012, 06:23 PM
why not, I'll be there

26-09-2012, 08:57 PM
it was good fun :D, but it does show that we as a group never really played together on raindance :P

Rainwhat? What's that?

Sorry about Friday, guys! Steam decided to convert my Tribes install to a "more efficient format," which resulted in the HiRez verification process never going past ~9%. So, I did a full reinstall and everything seems to have been worked out. Not exactly an elegant solution, but whatever.

Same thing happened to me... Wat

Hey Guys,

Cheers for the game last week! Apologies it took us so long to get the five for the game.

I should be along tonight for the CTF even :)

Its been a while but that was a good fun game. Great to see an RPS server again!

Was trying to get in, but my tribes client has too many issues it seems. Aside that I had to remember my user and password too :/

03-11-2012, 09:34 AM
It was great fun and with the new quick match system we will get more randoms as well as the server fills up.

Grrr, validating issue on steam. Tribes is trying to validate the files but doesn't work and I can't play, anybody had the same issue?

03-11-2012, 06:05 PM
I did a long time ago and just did a hi-rez install and put -steam

Search your machine for the HiRez uninstaller. Remove everything related to Tribes or HR, including any Steam installs. Then reinstall via the HiRez way, not Steam. (because HiRez in charge of programming, presumably)

Note to the few who still play: Please don't make me Pathfind again, its scary :(

It's too busy at work for me to get off by 3pm EST, but I'll check things out (i.e., get off early) when things slow down.
