Apparently it is trying (http://store.steampowered.com/app/206210/) to be a TF2. TotalCucumber did an overlook (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M1iZvgrWWY&feature=plcp) of the game some time ago, it doesn't look half bad to be honest, hero customization and stuff.

Anyone tried it yet?

Tried it before. It was ok, I didn't invest much time in it though because it simply didn't grab me.

It's got an alright unlock system, you get to pick items as you go along if I remember right. The shooting is alright but I find you just die too quickly and most of the games I ended up in where people using the rocket launcher over and over which was boring.

The game has loads of style though, which is both a pro and a con if you don't like the look of it.

I really don't understand why all current FPSs insist on doing this. In deathmatch games, if someone starts shooting you in the back, you should be able to still react. I think GCI was better then most in this regard, particularly the heavy body type, but still get what you mean. TF2 and Tribes Ascend are pretty much the only ones that understand this.

It is fun enough and I probably could have put some more time into it, but just got distracted by other things. It could have done with some more variety to the gadgetry, but what they had was pretty great. Personally thought the style was really good, but could see it rubbing some people up the wrong way.

I wish Monolith would go back to SP games. Instead, they're working on a LotR MOBA because that's exactly what the world needs... another fucking MOBA

I find it extremely boring when you mix fast movement and lot of bullets required to kill someone. That paradigm belongs to an ancient era. BF3 normal mode is nicely balanced in this regard, it still takes quite a lot of firepower to kill someone but you have chances in 1v2.

Try playing Max Payne 3's multiplayer, you're made of porcelain. ;p

So I tried playing GCI. On my laptop. With i3, Rad 5650 and stuff. Way above reccomended specs. 10-15 fps on medium, barely playable (25-30) on lowest.

Wtf.

Might want to let the devs know:

Also, the previous RPS GCI thread can be found here:

Love Monolith and the concept was fun, but I'm so tired of a) multiplayer shooters b) unlocks and c) Games for Windows Live.

And... a MOBA? Really? Nooooo! :(

2 out of 3 ain't bad. GFWL is gone from the F2P version of GCI and no longer supported on the previous version.

Yeah, whoever thought a LoTR MOBA was a good idea needs to be fired ASAP.
