Watchdogs has probably piqued my interest the most of upcoming games, though I quite like the look of that french game where you hack memories (whose name presently escapes me).

09-10-2012, 06:08 PM
Company of Heroes 2 cannot come out fast enough. FOR THE MOTHERLAND!

Watchdogs looks great, so long as it doesn't end up being as scripted and linear as Syndicate.

Otherwise I'm'a still keep playing what I got.

09-10-2012, 06:22 PM
I really really want to play Witcher 2 and Batman Arkham City. Can't wait. Hoped for this Christmas but unfortunately because of my own stupidity it won't happen at least till February.

09-10-2012, 06:35 PM
Watch Dogs definitely, so long as it keeps relatively open and reactive.
Remember Me (I think that was the French memory hacker game) put me off with their chase sequence trailer.

09-10-2012, 06:45 PM
As of a few days ago, having just read about them

The Banner Saga (was not interested until I found out that the sidescrolling walking parts are also playable parts of the game, like some kind of Vikings Oregon Trail)

Gone Home (because it's set in 1995...*no* games are set in 1995! I love 1995)

09-10-2012, 06:50 PM

Rome 2
Mount & Blade 2
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance

09-10-2012, 07:03 PM
Now that XCom is out, the only games I'm really looking forward to are Wasteland 2 and Europa Universalis IV. But Mount&Blade 2 is likely to take a spot in that small list, once I find out more about it.

edit: and Clockwork Empires!

09-10-2012, 07:17 PM
Well I'm not going to count XCOM and Dishonored, both of which I'll be picking up as soon as money finds it's way in to my wallet (it might take a while).

Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeros
Metal Gear Rising: Revengence
Cyberpunk by CDProject
Rome 2
Project Eternity
Wasteland 2
Whatever the fuck Valve is working on (apart from Dota2, obviously)
Bioshock Infinite
and Hawken (I really got hooked on the alpha... then it ended /sadface)

Battle Programmer Spike

Project Eternity
Wasteland 2
Total War: Rome II
Mount & Blade 2
Company of Heroes 2
ArmA 3
Watch Dogs

Those are the ones coming to the top of my mind right now. It tends to change a lot :P.

09-10-2012, 07:40 PM
Probably Mount & Blade 2. Warband has been one of my Games Of The Decade.

09-10-2012, 07:43 PM
From the top of my head

Mount & Blade 2
Project Eternity
Spy Party

09-10-2012, 07:50 PM
Arma 3
M&B 2
Planetary Annihilation

Drake Sigar reminded me:
Hitman Absolution and The Banner Saga

Mount & Blade 2 and Arma III. Anything else of interest is firmly on the maybe pile - Hitman, Of Orcs and Men and The Banner Saga. Don't think there's anything I simply must have coming in the next couple of months. That's for the best, I'm out of cash anyway.

09-10-2012, 09:05 PM
Metro Last light
The Witness
Watch Dogs
Day Z

09-10-2012, 09:15 PM
Half-Life 3.....

10-10-2012, 12:31 AM
I want to play all the games! So little time!

A bit hyped for Dishonored atm, but can probably wait for Christmas. Really want to get into Arkham City too at some point. Of unreleased games, AC3. I know it's a series people here love to hate, but for me it's the other way around. :P Last Light should be interesting too. Hitman Absolution could be great, could be a disaster, time will tell.

And, of course, we need us some HL3.

10-10-2012, 01:19 AM
Half-Life 3.....

This,and Doom 4.

10-10-2012, 02:05 AM
Anything else that'll blatantly rip-off Terraria. I want more Terraria more than I want more Half Life.

Other than that i'm not too fussed. There's too many games I want to play (Darksiders 2, Dark Souls, Dishonoured, Xcom, BL2) and too many games I've picked up recently (GW2, MoP, TL2) to get too hyped up over much. Not to mention barely licking the wounds from summer sale and indie bundles nipping at my wallet, further fattening an already burgeoning backlog and of course now, winter is coming...

AAA-wise, my interest is probably highest for Tomb Raider, Aliens: Col Marines and Bioshock Infinite.

10-10-2012, 02:22 AM
Planetside 2 (the final release version, beta is awesome but missing a lot of features)
Valve's next game, expectations are almost unreasonably high, yet somehow they always manage to match them, especially with portal 2.
CDPR's next game

Those are the ones that get me genuinly excited, there's some others that I'm curious about but curiosity =/= excitement.

There's still that 3 day wait for dishonored, so it's kind of hard for me to even think about other games existing until that's in my hands and done and dusted, but I do remember things like Metro: Last light, Natural selection 2, Planetside 2 and Hitman: Absolution looking pretty snazzy.

10-10-2012, 02:32 PM
I want Squadron 42 so very much now

10-10-2012, 02:45 PM
Double Fine Adventure for me.

10-10-2012, 02:54 PM
Maybe the Batman they make after Arkham City
Maybe the games after Assassin's Creed 3

10-10-2012, 03:15 PM
After reading the article just posted on the site, I have to add Chris Roberts' Star Citizens to the list. Man, that looks impressive.

10-10-2012, 03:42 PM
Clockwork Empires - Every bit of news or blogpost makes me want the game more and more!

Prison Architect - Time and money constraints made me not buy-in into the alpha, but it looks to be the ultimate follow-up to Theme Hospital.

I'm keeping an eye on Planetary Annihilation, 0x10c, that Doublefine Kickstarter and Starbound Haven't decided yet if I'm going to spend money on it.

10-10-2012, 04:02 PM
Games I want:
- Clockwork Empires
- Starbound
- DF adventure
- the adventure with the cave, I can't remember the title right now (edit: ok, so it's called "The Cave")
- new Freelancer (which the new Roberts' game might just be)

Games I might want:
- Planetary Annihilation
- one of the mech games
- GRID 2
- I'm sure I forgot some game that I was excited about

10-10-2012, 04:43 PM
I'm looking forward to Hitman: Absolution, Metro: Last Light and quite a few Kickstarter projects. 2013 will be an excellent gaming year for me.

Also Half-Life 3 and a new 2D Castlevania game, but those are more wishful thinking than actual anticipation.

10-10-2012, 04:57 PM
If you still remember this game, but I dont know how the development progress (its blog said they have reached the beta stage, but I dont have any idea of the exact progress):

I am very fond of both cyberpunk themed entertainment work and Mongolian steppe. The southern part of the steppe is in China you know.

The political implications of that statement are daunting.

True. Unintended, but true.

Mechwarrior: Living Legends 1.0

XCOM; but that's a 2 day wait so not sure it really counts.
GRID2; been a while since I've played a driving game, and I do love cars. But not in a carnal sense, that would get oil in embarrassing places.

Probably pick up dishonoured eventually, but currently I have enough to play and not enough time.

10-10-2012, 08:04 PM
Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar (http://www.longbowgames.com/rome/) is probably hands-down the game I'm most excited to see come out.

There's not much else on the horizon that really has my interest, but there are enough recent releases of interest and titles in my backlog that it's not any kind of immediate concern.

10-10-2012, 08:10 PM
XCOM, wich for me is a wait until christmas, so it should count.

10-10-2012, 08:40 PM
I know I should be excited about Watch Dogs, but something about that presentation just makes me a little skeptical of it. I don't know if it felt overly-scripted, or what. That weird multiplayer functionality that was hinted at doesn't really sit well with me either. The way the use of the cell phone seemed so prevalent, I wouldn't put it past them to tie in some dumb social-media mini games to it.

Right now the only PC game that would make me pounce all over any new scrap of available info for it would be Thief 4. And who knows if that will even be a proper PC game at all.

10-10-2012, 09:08 PM
In order of wanting:

Gabriel Knight (if it is indeed the mystery game)
Dishonoured (EU)
Dragon Age III
The Banner Saga
Assassin's Creed III
Broken Sword: Serpent's Curse
Project Eternity
Wasteland 2
Castle Story
Star Command
Watch Dogs
Bioshock Infinite

The Banner Saga: Because it's a mish-mash of interesting genres

Wasteland 2: Because Wasteland 2

Dishonored: Because of the hype. Also, echoes of thief?

Xenonauts: Because I'm the one chap who likes time units, dammit.

Project Eternity: Because it's a new world to explore. Also because that world isn't made by Bioware.

Clockwork Empires: Because it could be steampunk DF on a larger scale.

11-10-2012, 06:05 PM
The main events:

Depending on what they've done with the UI, ARMA 3. When I spend more time struggling to issue commands to people in my armored convoy (and somehow ordering them to exit their vehicles) than making strategic decisions, there's something wrong. If that's ironed out, I will be checking out the RPS squad too.

Watchdogs came out of nowhere, and although the trailer made it look fairly generic, it's the developers' talk about it that's making me interested. Dishonored started out like that on my radar too. But will Ubisoft give it the release it deserves?

Metro Last Light looks gorgeous. I love exploring bombed-out, ruined places but the numerous quirks of the first game made it a no-sale.

Doom 4 will hopefully keep the excellent monster design and "HOLY SHIT!" moments like the ground underneath you terraforming into hell while dropping the annoying "Zap! Monster behind you!"

I helped fund it, so of course I'm looking forward to first-person decapitation simulator Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.

I'm absolutely smitten with CD Projeck RED, so Cyberpunk is a no-brainer by default. They have yet to do something wrong. I will hit the ceiling once they announce the third part of The Witcher series.

Possible contenders:

Hitman Absolution is a mystery right now. Will the majority of it be the free-roaming fatal accident simulator we've seen in later trailers or the script-heavy "now dodge the men while escaping" foolishness covered in a recent preview? And will you finally not have to worry about people recognizing you while in disguise just because you were less than 50 feet away from them at all times?

I'm shit at puzzle and strategy games so I may not be jumping for Wasteland 2. But I'm nevertheless happy it got made and will take a look.

Occulus Rift isn't a game, and we have no idea if it's going to be the big hit developers seem to think it'll be but the concept of VR that's functional and affordable is something to be very excited about.
