Doesn't Jim usually do a reminder post on call to arm days? I think we have his picture.
Using the shellsuit colours
I'm kinda loving this scheme. Has enough "Vanu" about it without entirely pulling that palette. Is made of lighter colours without them looking too 'pastel'-y.
The Cyan is a tad on the grey end of things, but I think that's preferable to a straight up bright cyan a la CGA palette #1
Although as I write that, I'm incredibly tempted to see what that looks like, so here you go:
CGA Palette 1 (replacing light grey with white):
CGA Palette 1 in high intensity:
Still prefer Rizlar's latest if I'm honest, but there you go.
We seem to just be going back and forth on colour variations without any movement towards a goal. I think we need a cutoff point where Cooper will select the one he likes best (that is concurrently the one that the community feels like works well, which we seem to have reached consensus on).
Someone has to make a decision and a deadline for that to happen might be a good idea - otherwise I predict this thread will still be running in six months time.
I like your logos so far! I did one myself too and although I prefer the giraffe and the Vanu logo combined in the center as the last one that is posted, just out of curiosity and maybe for inspiration I tried something different!
I kinda had decided on colours than the white VS logo threw things. Enough that I think we can decide upon the white VS logo as final. The colour decision will become urgent once a finalised logo is produced. Once you've done that (thanks again Rizlar)
I quite like a magenta giraffe, but am not sold on it. Agree about the cyan being too cold.
The final decision will be between magenta and mint and blue and mint:
I will make the decision come the finalised logo. Any preferences between these two?
(Grey background in order to pick out the colours. Actual background colour will vary on where it is used. Interestingly, the blue and mint works well on a magenta background and the magenta and mint works well on a blue background...)
Whilst I usually prefer some of the 'louder' options, the magenta is way too 'pink giraffes', rather than purple for my liking.
Out of these two, the indigo-looking one is preferable to me as it doesn't offend my pink-hating sensibilities and has really good contrast.
I'm with Sinomatic on this one. More blue than pink, but maybe just a little bit more purple than the blue one?
I had a quick go at re-colouring the indigo one to be a bit more purple myself just after I wrote my post, but by that point I had been looking at them too much and I couldn't tell which one I preferred, or even if it looked right with a redder purple with the mint. Someone else should probably have a look at that and see what they think:
(I think it might be a bit too much purple?)
Should have thought of that to start with.
"Halfway between Magenta and that blue-indigo one with mint green circle, white VS logo on grey"
Im my mind that is almost the perfect purple. Maybe slightly more blue, but not much.
