bat out of hell
its almost at the cool bit where his on about not seeing the bend until it was too late
I'm in a Peter Gabriel mood these days...So anything with Peter in it!
J.
Mogwai - Happy Songs for Happy People is the album presently occupying my ear space.
Master of the UNIVERSE - Hawkwind
My trusty and crusty Arsedestroyer, Gore Beyond Necropsy, Lärm and Meat Shits noisetape. It's sick!
One Slip (OMNI, 1987), Pink Floyd
The Beta Band - The Three EP's.
I need something rythmic and chilled to help get me through the day. Scotch would also do but at least this won't get me fired.
Majestic Grill - The Best of The Men They Couldn't Hang. 80's aggro folk ftw.
Roky Erickson - Bermuda
The new Bon Iver album. So wonderful.
Really enjoying the latest from Fleet Foxes and Cut Copy. Peter, Bjorn and John growing on me. Never expected Cut Copy to sound so much like the Talking Heads in 1984, but they do that a little deeper into the album. The first track took me a while to soften to, but the music video helped.
J Dilla - Think Twice

Emmy the Great new album stream: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musi...e-album-stream
Haven't even finished the second track but I'm enjoying it so far.
Yeah, the new Emmy the Great album is really lovely and will be vying with the Marissa Nadler album for the attnetions of the part of me that likes beautiful women who sing beautiful folk music (coincidentally both albums were also crowd funded, which I thought was an interesting way to do things).
At the moment though I'm listening to SMOD's self titled album. It's a truly horrible band name but if the sound of Malian acoustic guitar based hip hop sounds intruiging to you then I thoroughly reccommend checking it out. It certainly sounds like a great, summery, feel good album but my French isn't good enough to know if the lyrics reflect this!

The first song of Momus' I ever heard, and it still gives me chills.
Dubstep. Lots and lots of Dubstep.
Such as:
Emalkay - Fabrication
Requake - Waterdrops
Mat Lynch - Treeboy
Sluggo and Helicopter Showdown - Hostage
But I more or less like anything excluding pop and country (though I can appreciate both).
