“Some of this stuff looks shit. Have you kept it for sentimental reasons?”
Due to me listening to Daphni and Pantha Du Prince recently this guy cropped up on my Last.fm recommendations and he is rather excellent:

while the song itself is good, the AMV is... holy shit
Holy shit indeed, Voon. Like the track, too.
Anthony Schepperd is, indeed, amazing.

New Frightened Rabbit album - Pedestrian Verse
First impressions are that it's a cut above Winter of Mixed Drinks but doesn't hit the highs of Midnight Organ Fight (though I feel this is going to be something that's said throughout the rest of their career, that album is something special). So a success then, hopefully they'll continue their ascension from underrated cult band to (inter)national success.

On a more rockier slant I've also been listening to Fat Goth. While it's not the best track on their album "You'll Find Me Da Club (and to be perfectly frank, I'm having a cracking time!)" is the best track title so far this year.

Oh my god, a new The Knife song. Apperantly, they have a new album comming soon, after what, seven years? The video is quite, uh, odd. So is the music, by the way.

I usually don't like Leaether Strip much but occassionally Claus Larsen produced those a bit silly but catchy pop songs instead of his usual more agressive or moody stuff. This one I missed before. Catchy as hell.

I like this, big change from their previous music though. Today I have been listening to Qntal and Oingo Boingo.
