Oh god, I found it unbearable; hearing a Kiwi accent say "sucky sucky fucky fucky" is so horribly incongruous it made my teeth curl. I wish voice actors had the guts to correct huge dialect problems like that. I realise the Rakyat aren't actually Maori, but they're close enough (and most of their dialogue is fairly accurate...ish) that moments like this are just surreal. I got the impression the character was supposed to be being a smartass, but even so, it's like hearing a Native American voice say it'll rove you rong time. I can't think of any other game with a huger gulf in quality between story dialogue and random dialogue.Quote:

It's a big shame that the PC never saw Halo: Anniversary. Good shots.
Halo was such shit.
Bungie have possibly the worst level design right next to Bioware.
My biggest problem with Halo was that I followed its development avidly when it was originally announced as a PC exclusive, genre busting free roaming open world FPS adventure.
These days the level design is near perfect. Sure there were things like The Library in H1 and Gravemind in H2, but H3 onwards were pretty damn tight. For myself at least, compared to most other FPS made today the Halo series is among the best.Quote:

You are quite correct, I do apologise, Mac & PC Exclusive. Regardless, the original intentions for the game were sky high and glorious. So I was a bit miffed when they scrapped it and turned it into a console shooter. There was still some tiny glimpses of their original vision but not a lot.
Also those chivalry shots are lovely. Makes me wish it was a historical RPG set during the crusades though
