hey guys over there...i hope you could recommend me a nice graphics card that can help me play "assassin's creed III" without the Pc start to cough and freeze and give me a finger and say "don't dream to play such a game"... :D
and i would be thankful if you also recommend me a nice Processor and rams.
i have a core2duo 3 cache 6 and 4 Giga rams and G-force N210 one giga up to 2 giga.....but the game still slow abit
There's actually a separate forum for that.

I wish there were Ninja Gaiden type games on PC. I've seen that game played by friends on consoles and it's one of the few console games that looked really cool (both the combat mechanics + high difficulty)
You mean like Overgrowth? I can't wait for that to be released.
Submarine Sims:
Not really exclusively sparse on the PC I think, but whatever...
- Archimedean Dynasty and the Aquanox series are what I'm thinking of
- Silent Hunter or something probably coiunts into this genre as well, I never played it though
Silent Hunter 3 with the GWX mod is the last WWII sub sim you'll ever need.
One could do with a few modern-day sub sims, though! Haven't seen one in ages.
Good PC racing games off the top of my head:
- RACE 07 (and expansion & mods)
- rFactor (2 is in paid beta)
- LFS - oldie but still solidly fun
- pCars (ongoing development - playable buildss though)
- netKar Pro
If anything, I'd say the PC racing game ecosystem is richer than the console one. The 360 controller for PC is a great leveller and entry level input though.
What I think has been missing has been good humour in games (doesn't have to be classy). The last game where I actually laughed at a joke was either No One Lives Forever 2 or Giants Citizen Kabuto. Everyone else's attempt at humour since has always missed the mark in some way - even Portal 2.
Actually, yeah. Games in general are kinda a wasteland when it comes to being genuinely funny. The ones written by Erik Wolpaw (Psychonauts, the Portals) being the main exception. On the XBox 360 Deadly Premonition and Brutal Legend were hilarious at times and Shadows of the Damned had some funny bits. On PC? Recettear had some pretty funny writing. Dikembe Mutombo's 4½ Weeks To Save The World was a hoot. But most games that attempt humor end up being too juvenile(DNF, Godmode), tame(Sam and Max) or just plain amateurish and painfully unfunny(Crash Time series, E.Y.E.). Better writing in games overall would be great but especially it would be nice to see some good comedy writers brought in.
Funny games? Frog Fractions.
I'm going to echo the sentiment that Japanese developers, and in turn the vague-ish J-RPG and Dynasty Warrior-esque smashups are very under-represented on the PC.
With the likes of SquareEnix, Nintendo, Konami, and several other big Japanese powerhouses pretty much ignoring the PC market, you'd think that smaller indie developers in Japan would see it as a goldmine without giant competition. Well, I suppose for the most part the dating sims/porn have done just that. But imagine for a moment that when given the comparison that many indie developers made great breakout games on handhelds, imagine what they could do on the PC platform. You would have thought that the Minecraft story would have had some resonance in Japan, that both their native country and the West would give money hand-over-fist for a sandbox game made by some guy in a small apartment.
I just thought of a kind of game that AFAIK doesn't exist on PC and I'd kill for one such game: not-so-serious golf games, ala Mario Golf and Everybody's/Hot Shots Golf.
I'd love me some Hot Shots Golf on the PC.
Golf Question Mark <--------- play this ^^ (freeware)
3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures
Pangya
Golf? and 3DUltraminigolfthingy aren't even close to the same kind of gameplay.
Pangya on the other hand, looks kinda interesting, but it looks so... so... Korean.
In a bad, "asinine gameplay meant to trick you into a skinner box the size of the moon to milk you dry with microtransactions" kind of way.
bloodranye was a badness character
