A gentlemen's game

I'm thinking of starting a new game with some special rules. To start the game field would look something like this (Props to helio for the format):

Map Size: 12 / 14 / 16
Map Type: Great Rivers / Acheron's Locks (Random number generator has spoken) / Dante's Peak / The Lake of Fire / Infernal Divide /
Place of Power: None / Rare / Uncommon / Common
Game Length: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25
Infernal Census : Yes / No
Rectification Content : Yes / No

The idea is to play with a custom rule (not game enforced obviously): No excommunications. With the only exception of an event based xcom.
This means no taking panda, so it would be a pure prestige race. Common pops and small map would mean more battles for them. Expect a lot of deceit, high ranks and political intrigue. Playing for keeps will become quite important.

We need three other players.

I noticed theres a demo. Would I be able to use that to try out the network play? Also I don't mean to hi-jack the thread so sorry about my intrusion

The demo limitations are these:
25 turns limit
1 map type and size
Single Player vs. AI or hot seat
About half the legions, praetors, relics and artifacts found in the full game.

So sadly you won't be able to try the network play :-/

I'm actually playing in a game very similar to this with similar rules right now it's at token 15 out of 20.

Our rules are
(1) No excoms via normal means or expel the heretics. So bascially no excomming if u want to eliminate someone u need to blood feud.
(2) We banned Planar Lock, Infernal Juggernaut and PCB of anything. Basically the 3 strongest rituals in the 3 seperate trees. There was discussion mainly on what to ban in the deceit tree but was settled on no pcb of artifacts/praetors/legions/relics.

The game is a great success. It's very very fun and starting around turn 25?? or so i've never seen so many demands/insults every single turn in any other game i've been in. Pretty much everyone started running infernal negotiations simply because of the sheer amount of demands and insults every turn that never stops.

Things i noted from such a game.
(a) You will see certain rituals such as negotiations etc get a lot more use.
(b) Curses are a lot more useful. I've made life miserable for everybody with diabolism curses and the mirror of obsession.
(c) Demands and insults and warring are much more prevalent.
(d) Having a good praetor dueler is a lot more useful.
