Ignoring amazingly silly comments, I wonder is this also part of the reason they've very recently stated that the online AH was a failure in game terms, that people didn't play the game to get gear upgrades, but rather only went to the AH for upgrades.
It's always "great" to see a company starting to sing a different song when they need to change something.
Maybe the reason they still haven't launched D3 PvP is because they were working on adapting D3 for consoles, which also included adapting it for offline mode, which they will patch into the PC version as soon as D3 for consoles drops.
And then we'll fart rainbows and unicorns will accompany us on our walks through fields made of fudge and treacle.

Heh, while not unexpected this still managed to surprise me. We've already guessed as much when we looked at the UI and the abilities. But still, sigh.
Each day it seems like gaming is going in a direction that I'm not happy with. In a few year's time Dwarf Fortress is all I'll have left if this trend continues. I wish I liked puzzles or platformers or tower defending so I could enjoy most of what indies have to offer.
