I'd like to get in on this as well!
I love how in Braid it just loads into the game directly. No title menus, no Press Any Key To Start, just the actual game. Really, 99% of times I load up a game I just want to continue playing where...
We be better off if gamers accepted that EA has no obligation to give you anything after you pay them?
That's why proper Roguelikes are so good. You're likely to die a terrible death very quickly, but the game is deep enough that every playthrough will be different.
The Dead Rising games do interesting things with time limits. Essentially, there's a clock that's always running. Missions come and go, you have to budget your time to complete as many of the...
If I've learned anything from EA's community policy, it's to not buy games from EA.
Ah, my mistake. I'm not very far into the game yet.
You know what annoys me about this game? It's got a great character creator, so naturally I want to play around with it. But every time I want to make a new character and try them out a little I have...
Of course people enjoy it. This kind of hardcore-platformer is a specific taste. It's not for everyone but that doesn't mean that people are just pretending to like it.
Anyone who thinks men won't play a female character just needs to read any Mass Effect thread.
Why?......
I'd just like to say, I do mind in-game ads on billboards. I don't care if it makes it seem more real. I don't need my games to replicate the crappy parts of reality.
That Doom 3 style direct interface for screens in the game is pretty great.
It's a little different, but one of the things I really like about the Dead Space games is that they don't follow the standard "get more and more powerful weapons as you go" style. There's a really...
Currently trying to crawl my way back up to Diamond after getting knocked down to Platinum as a result of not playing for quite a while.
District B-13 seems to me like a direct influence on Brink.
Oh, and no one's mentioned Stalker yet? That's a clear influence, if a loose one. There's the whole idea of the Zone, Stalkers, and the...
Really, other roguelikes keep an auto-save in case the game crashes. This needs that.
I'm enjoying the presentation and the skills and the humor. But after playing other roguelikes, the interface...
It'll take them ten years and it'll still be out before Episode 3.

Some recent FPSs that I think are imaginative: Zeno Clash, STALKER, Metro 2033, Bioshock, Bulletstorm.
It seems like almost every game would be an RPG based on that definition.
Really? All TV? You're missing out man.
I still think it's funny that they released a game theme song called "Still Alive" the year after Portal came out. It's good though, as is the rest of the soundtrack.
Anyone else remember Spycraft?
