Not up on steam curators really, but I was under the impression that it was just all RPS's liked games dumped together. Do they have a separate list for the Advent Calendar games?
Did you love the TV series?
I watched Serenity with 4 friends, 2 who loved Firefly and two who'd never seen it. Walking out of the theater they all simultaneously said "That was...

I haven't played it and can't comment on quality, but I kinda hope Inquisition doesn't win just because they do seem to pick the game that they're enjoying most RIGHT NOW(!).
I'm happy Bernard...
Valve seem to have done a great job giving publicity to a nasty little game that would have been mostly ignored on release.
Valve seems like a bit of a crappy place to work....

Reading the post, I got the impression that RPS probably agrees with valve, but were trying to remain "fair and balanced". Unnecessarily so imho, but maybe they were just anticipating all the shouts...
Someone left A Florentine Death - by Michele Giuttari at my house.
It's a police procedural (is that what they're called?) by a guy who used to be the Head of an (apparently) Elite Police Squad in...
@myself: "It has Jai Courtney, which is a terrible sign! (3rd movie in a row destroyed by bad JC casting?) "
Ok, I kinda take it back. I just discovered that Varro in Spartacus is Jai Courtney!...
Anyone seen The Hobbit - Battle of the Five Armies yet?
I can't decide if I'll go to watch it. I heard it's basically a single 144min battle and almost all added to the book. The first two were...
Terminator 1 is by far the best. It's very pure and simple in terms of it's plot and focus. Unstoppable killing machine. Run.
Plus it has an edge that the later ones lost.
(NB/ While the plot...
Almost famous is lovely. I was probably 1 year old at the time, but I still grew up listening to the music and wishing I was there. I think Almost Famous does a good job of being both nostalgic for...

Arrow has been a bit of a mess this season, but still reasonable mindless fun. They just have too many characters and seem a bit disorganized about how they're putting all the characters and plots...
So, as someone who has been ignoring the cards on steam (and who is mostly bemused when I get notifications every day that I got a new card for no obvious reason, what's the best easiest no-effort...

I'm still hanging on to my old laptop's hard drive, mainly because it has all my Morrowind and Baldur's Gate 1 files (with mods included).
I'd love to go back to Morrowind, as I played it on and...

Well, it's not horror like most of the ones listed here, but one scene I always remember as being tense and, if not exactly scary, shocking was the one in Jedi Knight where you fall to the dark side....
Sir You're being hunted for $4.99 for next 2 hours on GOG.
Origin acutally has some ok deals on older games if you scroll past all the Battlefield DLC.
Still not enough to make me...

BG2. Because I started it, and then was confused by all the spells, so I decided to try BG1 first. But BG1 is pretty dull and full of filler. So I wish I'd started with BG2 and found this website:...

I think the way they do it, where each writer gets to pick one (or more) of their favorites means that it's much more random than many other sites. Other sites seem to do it mainly by consensus and...
@clockworkrat: How old are you?
I was going to make a joke that the solution was to have kids, but on further reflection I don't think that's true. I'm not convinced about the "buy an...

I guess that is the "remnant space of a solar empire", although I get the sense that the Taboola/Outbrain stuff is separate from the other ads. I've grown kind of used to Scarlett sticking her chest...

In a change of strategy, I've decided to try Crusader Kings 2.
I have never really played this kind of strategy game before, and I've not played many RTS or anything similar in a decade or so....

@Eight Rooks: "But anyway, yes, this sort of thing is why I've still never played T&B. If I remember right the RPS WiT was pretty much "It's an amazing idea realised startingly well for a tiny indie...

Lucasarts WAS a game developer back in the 90s... i'm not sure they've been anything other than suits since then. It all went downhill once they put an accountant in charge of the company.

Well, I've only gotten one right so far - but I had it 8 times so I reckon I'm on 8 points and therefore in the lead! Yay!

It's not a terrible attitude to have. I'm not going to spend hours searching for scientific papers on every issue that I hold an opinion on, don't be ridiculous.
It's also something that's pretty...
I wasn't so impressed by Hidden Fortress. It was ok, but it didn't stand out to me. It WAS interesting to see how similar the first 20 minutes or so were to Star Wars.
My favorite Kurosawa movie...
