Or is it just that if you manage to roll one you are almost certainly going to be hideously injured and the explosives will just make sure you aren't a burden to anyone? It's a very German approach.
I'm AMacdonald everywhere except here, where I didn't spell it correctly as I was signing up.
Others long retired...

I just took 0.99 seconds off my best time and moved precisely no places up the table. That's the difference between the top three and the rest of us!

My first race week was at Jefferson! Tight track but fun and no real lunacy. I'm sitting on a $49/year offer now. Think it went to everybody signing up for the three month demo. I have until the end...

I was out of Rookie after two races but I'm not sure I could tolerate looking at that Pontiac on a regular basis. It's a moose.

I've been on iRacing for a few weeks, exclusively in the MX-5 cup on open tracks. Not many races so far (less than 10 I expect) but I've yet to encounter any of the rookie-mayhem I've been led to...

Definitely feel like I've just got back from a Hoeseasons holiday. 2:10.something

Is Rivali working ATM? I tried it last night but it couldn't connect. Has there been a new client recently? The one on the official page is from June.

So is it hotlap or time attack this week? I spent most of yesterday evening taking a second off my F40 time only to find out the competition had ended but once I tried the Lotus the old GPL muscle...

Maybe it's time to play something you enjoy instead. Not iRacing, obviously, but there must be something.

They are slow burners, no question about that. I backed ED (although I'm too mean to have bought into any early access builds) but I haven't seen anything mentioning fleet operations so far and X is...

I'm still a big fan of the Egosoft X games (X-Rebirth excluded, obviously). The sheer scale and openness of the universe has never failed to amaze me. Do I want to be a business magnate, a fleet...

Me too. Heel & toe is for real, competent racing drivers, of which I am not one.

Sounds a lot like Time Trial in iRacing ;-)

No better than 1:59.6 for me and I was pretty much out of control for a lot of it.

The best AI I can remember, or at least the AI that was the biggest challenge to race against, was in the original TOCA. Many is the hour I spent gradually edging up on AI along the back end of...

I'm always up for an online race but, sadly, my available time to do so is microscopic.

I'm just not good enough in the F40, or there's something broken at the back of my car. I spent a good hour on it last night and managed two valid laps, one 2:05 and one 2:03. It's just far too happy...

The sims I've enjoyed most over the years (lots of years) have been the ones that concentrated on particular series, like GPL or TOCA2. The games that try to cover everything (I'm looking at you,...

I've just started dipping my toes into iRacing, after glancing at it suspiciously for years. GPL is probably my most-played game ever (it's the only one I religiously move across to new PCs) so I've...

Me too. Cruising to the Faroes, of all places.

Or 3-4 tyres?

I think we (are at least me) are using Rivaili rather than RSR for this one.

I may give the three month iRacing trial a go once my life settles down a bit in September. The starting cars and tracks aren't particularly appealing to a non-US citizen though. How does it perform...

I'm a compulsive overcooker.
