AFAIK, Steam accounts never have been locked to a specific region. I know at least half a dozen people who used VPN services regularly to circumvent region restrictions (a simple IP check).

Agreed. That's probably what you get for shortening the development cycle.
I highly dislike that EA/DICE move the series more and more in the direction of the CoD series - not only in terms of...
It used to start in the last week of June, except for last year where it took off in mid-July. The precise date has (accidentally?) leaked beforehand in the last two years, so I wonder if Valve will...
I thought "Busy" was intended for that kind of stuff ...
In my book it's absolutely okay to give away individual keys of games you happen to own already. But redeeming all the Steam keys and then go ahead and give away the bundle/Desura key? That's...
That's usually the case with IR, unless they've changed things recently.
Edit: Eh, ninja'd by the King o' Bundles himself!
I may be wrong, but wasn't rocket jumping in TFE and TSE?
I'm with you regarding that location bit, though.
Huh. They pulled off something similar in the past. Initially, German customers were charged in GBP with prices being about 20 - 30 % cheaper than the RRP in EUR. I even remember a statement of a...
There's actually one particular challenge (Seaside Hill, I think) where the game will lock up completely with a high probability. See this thread for more information. I experienced no crashes apart...
And I'm not saying you're wrong. It's just that this PC/Mac distinction thing has been going on for much longer than that.
Another reason for this was probably to make it easier to differentiate between the x86 and PowerPC architecture. Then retailers and publishers came around with stuff like "available for PC and Mac"...
Oh, yeah, I'm the same. Fiddling with every game for about 2 hours to get the most out of it is half the fun. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Oh, you're implying that I pursue some agenda here? :P
(I also left out Linux and a dozen more. May or may not have been intentional ...)
Edit: Come to think of it, both are a derivative of...
That's a weird definition to start with. How's gaming on a PC running DOS, Unix, BSD etc. not PC gaming?
This.
Also, this:

Didn't have much of a problem with that - but then again, I've only played on 'Beginner' so far.
They really did go all out on that theme, yes. Don't want to spoil anything but they put lots...
Thanks for bringing this to my attention! This somehow dropped off my radar after I've seen a gameplay video a while ago.
Three words: Guitar Hero in space. Despite the looks, it's a pure...
Inside a Star-filled Sky is making my brain hurt real quick. That can't be a healthy thing!
Just bind it to 'W', then. ;) I did something similar to disable mouse smoothing in Bioshock.
The gunplay is pretty much shit in the first one, but I love the setpieces and general atmosphere of...
Interesting point. I wonder how much that'll change the picture. Will MS even bother to release a PC version? Will future console ports support 'Ye Olde 360 Pad' (the new pad seems similar enough...
If you're mostly playing recent games, you probably won't need it. And keep in mind that not every DirectInput game is equally problematic, so it could be that you're fine with the support the...
Yeah, it's practically a driver (probably more a XInput->DirectInput wrapper) but it comes with a configuration utility that allows you to set up different profiles and customize almost every aspect....
BTW, this is also something you can "fix" with XBCD. It allows you to set the analog stick (even individually) to "Full Range" which makes it behave exactly the way you described.
I'm not sure what you mean by that. If a game allows customized key mappings for controllers, you can sure do so with your 360 pad. That's very much game dependent.
The one downside of the 360 pad...
Neither did I. Sure, there's always room for improvement but in terms of video game standards I'd consider the VA top notch. I played the whole thing over the course of a week and I sure didn't...
