Just an update:
I went with the R9 380, and picked up a new CPU as well.
Gaming hasn't felt this smooth in years! ;)
Hmmm... Thanks for all the input.
I was thinking that it's more safe to get a 4GB card now, to maximize the duration of the card's usefulness. It seems like more games are going past 2GB of RAM...
My old video card (a Radeon HD6670) has frequently failed a lot of the minimum requirements of games being released the last year (still didn't stop me from playing Watch_Dogs or GTAV...
A big thank you to Skalpadda and Snargelfargen!
I might buy PoE then when I get home from work later...
With risk of getting a biased answer (since this is the PoE thread), I'm in the mood for a CRPG. What should I go for?
Pillars of Eternity or Divinity: Original Sin?
Both are around the same...
Actually, that's a good point. Multiplayer FPS games might be where the money's at these days. Personally, I enjoy singleplayer a lot more, hence the discussion I wanted to bring forward in this...
So, in my opinion, there are at least 4 different FPS "genres". Let me explain:
#1. The "classic" FPS
Examples: Doom, Duke Nukem 3D
Large, "open" levels, where one traditionally needs to find...

This has certainly been quite a good year for gaming, but a couple of the choices on the list are.... odd to say the least. Some almost feels like they've been picked just so that RPS sets themselves...
I still have 1 copy of the Merry PayDay Christmas Soundtrack!
Send me a PM if you want it!
I've got 3 copies of the Payday 2: A Merry Payday Christmas Soundtrack for anyone who wants a copy.
Send me a PM if you want one!
EDIT: 1 copy left!

2. Wastleland 2
3. ARMA 3
4. The Banner Saga
5. Broken Age
6. Civilization: Beyond Earth
7. Dark Souls II

Well, thanks for the suggestions everyone... I just remembered that I got Shogun 2 for free when I upgraded my CPU a few years back, so maybe I should start with that...

Question: Which is the "best" Total War game?
I'm a bit interested in picking one up, and the latest one i tried was Medieval Total War quite a few years back.
Which one do you all recommend?

I personally always find it funny that there are always people (even in this thread) who always say something along the lines of "Hey, remember when this site was about discussing games?" or "Can't...
I don't get this. I hear this all the time, how people manage to sell cards and raise quite a lot of cash.
Whenever I sell a card, you are lucky if you can list it at €0.10, and then you have to...

So, you bend off those small tabs on the side?
Well, I used a small paintbrush to clean out the worst of the dust behind the fan blades (thank God for my fiancée's painting hobby!). ...

Well, last time I tried to remove the heatsink + fan, the entire CPU followed with, bending a few of the pins. I was forced to correct this with a small screwdriver. Since then, I've been very wary...

There are 4 possible screw holes around the fan, but I can't seem to see any screws inside these "holes". That makes me wonder if the fan is removable at all, or it is "fused" to the heatsink.

So, I've got an AMD Phenom II x6 1055t CPU, together with the stock fan/heatsink.
Recently, I've noticed that the fan gets really loud during intense gameplay, spinning at about 5500 RPM, with a...

The Ocean House Hotel is a mere amusement park. It's got nothing on the creepiness of Gimble's Prosthetics...

And we have results!
I downloaded Easeus DiskCopy, made a boot CD and let it get to work.
2 hours later, the drive was ready.
It worked wonders! Afterwards, I just adjusted the partition...

I believe I saw that BIOS was set to allow both UEFI and BIOS in the boot options.
I will test what you all have suggested the coming days, and get back to you with the results.

If I try to do it the way you are suggesting, this will create no problems whatsoever? No crappy EFI/BIOS error messages? Will it work since you more or less clone the drive in question?
