In a weekend in which the most desirable thing has been having a blanket around me whilst being surrounded by Strepsils, I broke my rule of "Not binge watching shows" in clearing out 5 episodes of...

Perhaps my DOTA remark was a bit more blunt than intended; that was more of a reference, I'm curious as to when it first started being used, what made it be picked up into regular use.

Hey, Resident Evil 5 fans, you out there?...Anyone?
Anyhow, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition is now available. Both the original and GE will...

I like to play a little game called Defence of the Ancients 2.
Every so often, during or after a battle, some people will go 'ez', generally in the arseholish way of saying "Haha, you suck!" I'm...

I'm tired enough to accept it's possible I made a mistake.
That said, they both have silly names.

Right, what Kiril said. To augment that, the current PC gaming situation in Russia is because there's a lot of illegal content fused with an economy of super cheap (suspiciously so) games, that Free...

Confirmed. There's also a PS4 blog containing information that will no doubt be the same on PC. No word on upgrading from the current version as of yet. EDIT: Oh, there's also a Capcom blog. That's...

Dark Angel felt like a really cool idea that was on the cusp of being great. It was really weird, but didn't go quite far enough. And yes, I say that given there was a half-dog mutant.

In order to have a bit of, errm, order in this thread, I'd like to make a brief post summarising the situation.
Something is going on with Games for Windows Live such that developers and...
Cough cough elbow nudge wink cough
It certainly seems competent and indeed fills a niche not particularly well filled!

Good news fans of zombies and haters of GFWL!
Dead Rising 2 and DR2: Off The Record should, if they're not at time of posting, be available imminently for Steamworks. YAY!
To activate your copy...

You don't need to be good at beat'em ups, or even half-way competent, to be good at Dust's combat. Maybe three-quarters competent on hard mode.
Yeah, I had that. Even had directional input...

Can't answer you regarding Stronghold 3, but best guess given that most of that 'land mass' is submerged is that it's somewhere under water.
As for the Nether, it's actually been barely explored....

I started Hotline Miami last night and finished it just now, so raw thoughts. I'll start with the plot, such as it is; I'll be honest, it threw me. I had a good clichéd plot in mind for what would...

Urgh, I know the feeling, but here's my recommendation; imagine that having one left of your important potions is actually equivalent to none. They're your safety bank of potions for "Oh crap, boss...

Who here like(d) WipEout? Correct, you all do. That's why you might be interested in this, RedOut.
I quite like the graphical style. It's tilt-shifted minimalism. Is that a thing? It's a thing....

How into the potion and alchemy stuff are you? It's probably the epitome of "What the fuck is this?!" in the game, but it's really a core component of the combat that is easily ignored. Some of the...

[Warning, the following post is mostly an essay (seriously, I put it in Word, it's about 1300 words) detailing the many issues I have with The Banner Saga. I apologise for the strain on your scroll...

More Banner Saga stuff.
So, that Bellower boss fight then, eh? AHAHAHAHAHA. What a crock of shit. Over the last 2 hours it has proceeded to undo a lot of the goodwill this game has generated. It...

I finished season two of Parks and Rec last night and have some things to say. Firstly, booooooooooy, what an improvement over season one. Obviously there's four times the episodes to make it work,...
Have you seen much or any of The Thick Of It, from which most of the characters are adapted? Not only did they predict certain ministers or government officials doing ridiculous things, but one of...

Carrying on with The Banner Saga (aka. Acceptable Losses: The Game) having reached Chapter 5 and I find myself taken out of it every so often by just small things. Like I said before it obviously...

There's certainly a good argument for weighing up how much you're told and how much you need to discover. I think Binding of Isaac gets away with it a lot by the fact that games last around 30-45...
