It's from a bunch of missions. The last set is the oldest, probably Tears of St Lucia. The others are from one or more of Mandrasola, the William Steele episodes (there are now three, including In...
A bunch of modders doing again and again what Eidos Montreal couldn't do with five years of development. Heck, it even looks better.

A couple of months ago, Harebrained was hiring people who have experience with writing/scripting and with the Shadowrun universe. Considering...
Yup, that's the one. The updated version that's part of Assault on Dark Athena. I'd forgotten how unique this game is. At $3 for the both of them, this was a steal. DRM free, too.
Did they? I got the impression they said the game is twice as large/expansive, not the budget, and that this is owing to Steam early access sales, not the summer sale.
It's been on early access...
Human Revolution's not the only game to run with the black-and-gold filter.
Question: How does everybody in this thread have enough steambucks/gabecoin for multiple games? Is it all from selling hundreds of cards at ~10c each?
I sold everything I'd accumulated since...
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
Fable: The Lost Chapters
Brothers - A tale of two sons
Believe it or not, my post was a recommendation, just not that paragraph. I liked the ending too; it was poignant. In fact, everything from sequence 11 onwards when Edward begins to get his act...
Black Flag has tutorials until about 50% of the way through the main story, and the first two hours are all tutorials shoehorned into the narrative in the usual nonsensical ways.
But the former is...
I know this isn't the talk-me-down thread, but I'll take it. Thanks. The RPS WIT of this game was pretty damning, but the problems Alec wrote about (bloat and excessive "tutorializing") have been in...
I'm eying two games right now:
AC III: Things I like about the AC series: Walking around in bustling cities, sailing, climbing things. Things I dislike about the AC series: EVERYTHING else....

Strike Vector, anyone?
At this point I'm willing to pay $3 just to zoom around by myself in industrial sci-fi environments.
Story & setting: The worldbuilding is excellent, but it drops you in the deep end at the start, with frequent POV switches and no explanations. You catch on quickly though. The setting is fresh and...
I ended up purchasing the Sapphire r9 290 Vapor-X OC. At $470. With tax piled on top, it's bloody expensive, but I figured this card should tide me over until the end of this console generation. It...
I have an old HD7850 (2GB) and a 1080p monitor. Two years ago it ran everything I threw at it near 60 fps, except maybe Metro 2033. It runs things just about okay right now, but with each new game I...
Tips? I've got a couple.
- Most tough boss fights let you summon NPCs to help. They won't do much damage in the later fights, but they will keep some heat off you. Get Solaire to help with O&S.
If you like that kind of game, there's Shadowrun: Dragonfall: Nounverb. It's oozing atmosphere and RPG goodness, and it's easily the best written thing I've played this year. It also mollifies your...
Specifically, Ken Levine's reach exceeded the game's grasp:
And here I thought the three-point...
It has the usual foibles of early 2000s game narratives too, a reach that exceeds its grasp.
For a multiplayer-centric franchise, this game has a surprisingly fun singleplayer campaign, with some big open levels.
I've played the other two, but which mission is this one from?
