Hmm. Thanks for the replies! (EpicTheFail and Synesthesia).
I'm very much on the fence about the game so I'm interested in how it's progressing. :)
Or maybe they both bought the same design?
Is gamma a substantial step up in content density?

I see the problem from the other angle. I don't see not having that information as the problem, nor that the AI has information I do not have. I'm here for an engaging challenge, not for a fair...
My feelings as well.
I could be forcibly compelled to acknowledge that, in this case, the original "works."

I like not being able to know exactly what things look like from your future position. Sometimes it ends up being unfair, but overall I like the effect. I liked that in XCOM I wasn't playing as a...
Are you sure you don't mean December?

There's admiring the labor and admiring the fruits. ;)
I can get behind that. I don't feel that way about Alan Moore, but I definitely consume media that gives me that sensation and I value it...

I loved Braid and I like the ending and I felt the game was immensely feasible to 100%. Different strokes. :)
I guess ... I'm ok with that attitude in an individual piece. Sometimes it works....

P.S. It's one thing to argue that something does demonstrable harm to you or to third parties or is part of a system of demonstrable harm to you or to third parties (racial caricature in media, for...

I love Watchman. I find it disturbing in all three major senses discussed in this thread: in the philosophically and emotionally affecting sort of way, the hurtful "why are people awful" sort of way...
Personally, I'd be more interested in the same concept applied to a denser, smaller singleplayer game but one without campaign scripting, and with some kind of cleverly implemented online co-op...

I'd recommend anything I perceived to be of value given proper context for explanation, and everything else I'm typically happy to expound on even if I wouldn't "recommend it." I guess I'm not sure...

Rats are an extremely dramatic occurrence.

Just Cause 2 is delightful but suffers from a variation on the same problem. Navigating is similarly ridiculously awesome and the setting is just gorgeous to look at and blowing random things up is...

I would love the movement mechanics of SR IV packaged with a better action game ... any recommendations there? Jumping over buildings, running up walls and air-dashing is just joyful but the moment a...
It generally makes sense that people who live without needing to spend overly much of their time and energy providing for their minimum subsistence would be concerned with matters of a "first world"...

That's about where I'm heading towards, at this rate.
I don't think I've mentioned anything about the side quests not starting you back where they began before. Also I don't know why you're...

It's supposed to be an entertaining feature of the game. It would be if they made some relatively minor tweaks to it that other games manage just fine.
What is with this insistence that other...

it seems like it would have been really easy to teleport you back to the mission start point on a fail, but they seem to have figured it's better to keep you in the world in real time. Which is, in...

Darn. I liked it (other than centering issues) after the most recent overhaul a while back. This one less so.
Yeah, I've had this happen a couple of times. It's unlikely because, well, bullets have a travel time and usually someone started shooting first.
What it boils down to for me is that between using an ad-filtering service and turning it off and taking the time to report all the ads that bother me? I'll just use the ad filtering service and if I...
The weird thing, too, is ... well this:
There are four ways about it.
1) There's a robust non-player infrastructure to the dynamic aspects of the universe (simulated factions and so forth...
