Does it just hang? If so, just wait a while longer - it sometimes takes a min or two to initialise when it is first launched.

That's still £24.50 at GMG with the 30% off - Simply Games are selling it for £19.85 and as it is a Steamworks game it registers in Steam so you can download it from there rather than use the disk.
