Very early thoughts...
"War never changes" guy isn't Ron Perlman!
Haven't got into spectacular explosion territory yet but so far solid 60 FPS @ 1080p on Ultra preset - this with a 2gb Geforce...

I suspect there may exist some truth in that.
In my Glorious New Order, the case for the prosecution will take a dim view of such revelations.

I'm keeping a list you know.
I mean, in public I'll state some Voltaire-ish right to choose and appreciate your individual take on the series, but come the revolution...

Yeah I was curious as to this also. I really liked the FO3 and NV music at the beginning - they set and contrasted the tone really nicely. Many hours in the music was still important.

And as best I can tell unlock times are 12:01am local time - whichever locale you happen to be in. Or be VPNing in to.

I've heard enough people say that now that I don't instantly dismiss this opinion as the foolish rambling it so obviously is :) Whilst I don't quite get it, I can see a little bit of where you're...

Bugger it, I'm weak. Pre-loading now.
KaMai in the review comments, I suspect, nailed it on saying it strikes as Fallout 3-2.0 rather than the Fallout NV-2.0 we may have hoped for, but for all...

The mods, with their reflexes honed by years of CODBLOPS et al, are doing a fantastic job sniping the incoming horde, but yes, after years of apparent peace it's clear a war is now on.

Yeah Fallout 4 really should be good - it may end up great, but I think it's a shoe-in to be good enough to hit a best 24 of the year slot. Fallout 3 was good, bordering on great, it was just lacking...
Was wondering if this would start today; if (recent) history is any guide today would be the day. I think it's usually 18:00 UK time when steam deals swap.
edit: and.... that's all rather...

Oooh, ok. In no particular order apart from the first and bestest of the best:
The Witcher 3
Kerbal Space Program

Liking Rebel Galaxy a lot. Space Pirates & Zombies is a useful comparison. It's a perfect $20 game, and perfect for those "recommend me a game for mood X" threads we like around these parts

Emphasis on the childhood memories, and what defines childhood more than Lego? When I was a kid Lego theme choices were either Castle or Space. I was a space lego kid, but I'm guessing the medieval...
The tutorial in BB2 is very good. If anything it perhaps over explains and goes on for a bit too long, but as an introduction for players new to the game it's hard to fault.
Those who own the...
Thanks folks, Black Flag is looking tempting, but then again that's a fiver which can go toward Fallout 4 in a few weeks time. Hmm. If it's still tempting come Christmas I'm sure it'll be on sale...
I'm always a little wary of posting Steam sales on here, figuring they're just a bit too obvious - I mean, everyone already knows right?
But anyway, this week's Midweek doodad is stealth gamed...
Does anyone else feel a teensy bit of inappropriate pride seeing one of their old threads dredged from the depths? Like a proud parent welcoming their child home from university?
Just a shame this...
Interesting, turns out it was a fit of generosity. Day 1 purchasers get lizardmen free, pre-orders who got to choose one of either woodies or lizzies now get both:
For players who pre-ordered...

It's a curious thing from this (UK) side of the pond. Some days (like when you mention state funded national healthcare) the US seems rabidly capitalist, on others, like today, when talking about...
Well, I gave in and bought it. Initial impressions are.... it's a little bit better than the BB1 iterations. Mostly in so far as it does seem to play different races to their strengths a bit better....
(I skimmed the first few pages, not sure if worth necroing an older thread or keeping within the Gaming & Sociability subforum, apologies if this needs nuking/moving)
First reviews are coming in...
First reaction was to take against the idea of being some random ninja, then I realised that answering "random ninja" to the "what is it that you do?" question on Pointless would make you the coolest...
I'm glad, so glad, this thread has kept going so long. I'm sad, so sad, I was so weak as to not stay with Elite.
I *loved* the original Elite. I played it "co-op multiplayer" - ie. my friend, Max,...
This weekend's Steam deals look interesting, with a number of almost-but-not-quite games probably worth a look.
With the recent Act of Aggression WiT perhaps pointing people back to the Wargame...
New logo's a bit swanky innit?
First reaction was eurgghh! change is bad! Rapidly changed to hmmm, it could be a grower.
Crucially it doesn't strike me as a logo designed by a digital...
