Nope, regular laddering. Odd.
Yep, may have linked the wrong video. There were a couple of these I had in mind, didn't remember the exact contents. Episode #1 is the "pylons and probes and pylons...
I was going to comment on some mechanical stuff, seeing how you're not using control groups, but here's a good video on the basics from Day[9], instead. Covers everything I would've said, I think.
...
Upload the files wherever you want, then link them here, simple enough. DropBox would be a good choice for that. I think you could even post them on the forums as an attachment in a ZIP.
Got matched up with two Master league players last night, got predictably destroyed. Are that few people playing on weekday evenings? Because it's sure as hell not anywhere near my skill level.
...
True enough, I don't disagree. I was simply saying that even the perceived lack of APM isn't actually a physical limitation an low levels, but a mental one. You aren't slipping behind in worker...
It seems silly to fault the game for not being turn-based. It's fair to say that's not your cup of tea, of course.
Also, why would you need to stop and think if the game's all about clicking...
If you need coaching to get started learning the game, you could probably get some RPS folks to help out. You could also make use of the newly patched-in social features, join the Rock Paper Shotgun...
Sure. I'm just saying that one's not less artificial than the other. The former serves a purpose as well (non-zero attention cost for macro, which I think is a pretty neat mechanic itself).

Making the game less responsive would be incredibly frustrating. Would be horrible in Starcraft. Maybe you can make some other game out of it, though. It'd probably have to be built around these...
Games in general are artificial problems requiring the player's attention. The question you should be asking is what purpose a given mechanic serves. Complaining that an RTS isn't wholly about...
Seems vaguely familiar, but I don't remember where this was in-game, if I even noticed it in-game and not on the wiki. Tried googling, no luck.
Nope. IIRC that's the room you can see from the...
Was there even any in-game hint to that area? I couldn't find one, even knowing that there's supposed to be a secret there. It seems you'd have to basically luck out while randomly hitting walls to...
Making combat better doesn't automatically mean "more like DmC or Ninja Gaiden". Or shouldn't, anyway. Simply fixing the shortcomings of the current mechanics would be nice. Here's some thoughts from...
I spent like half an hour helping a guy configure his router so I he could summon me. That's not what I had in mind when they promised me jolly co-operation.
This seems pretty insulting towards game developers, actually.
DaS2 will have dedicated servers, so that could solve this issue. I think it might be even better at creating a sense of community, actually.
As for the game being more straightforward: I don't...
I think that's already compressed, isn't it? Just with lossless compression, as opposed to what you see in-game.
I don't really get that. What's the difference? Going from pseudocode to actual code is basically nothing.
Same.
No need to redo it, just provide reasonable scaling/filtering options, so you don't end up with wobbly non-square pixelmesses (is there a proper name for this sort of artifacting?)
Hmm, no resolution options, apparently? That kinda sucks. Any INI files somewhere?
Same for the last two days. I play around what the Steam stats consider peak time, in a +/-2 hour interval. No dice so far. Messages and phantoms are also unusually rare.

It explains some of this stuff, at least.
The Rusted Iron Ring is far from a must. Running around poisoned only adds to the charm of Blighttown, I'd say.
Compared to the (at most) 80-160ms I'm used to in fighting games, it's basically infinite. :P But yeah, I've not done any proper tests on this, might well be limited.
