I'm curious... how many people buy these bundles because of the music? I basically never listen to them.

Yes, it's disappointing the BTA is so high. I would've bought it otherwise. I didn't think The Force Unleashed was all that popular enough to skew the average so much, but what do I know?

The maths aren't too bad, because you can almost always find someone to help you with it.

You could just ignore the animation and sound until the end. That's what I'm doing. I'll outsource it or just get some free assets. Mechanics all the way!

I popped for the $20/month for one month to get it and play around with it. I watched a few tutorials on it, but that's about it. As a noob in both Unity and UE, what pushed me to Unity was how much...

Understood. I have noticed that collisions in 3d are much more complicated. What I'm making is essentially a pinball table, so it's essentially 2d anyways. The biggest thing I like about 3d for it so...

I don't know if that's necessarily true. I guess it depends on your skills and whether or not you're going to use outside assets.
I love the series, even though I'm working on a 3D game in Unity....

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, the Internet Archives DOS games is a good way to go now, too.

I catch myself doing this more and more. If I haven't heard of it and it doesn't immediately look absorbing, I dump it in a metaphorical trash heap. A shame, really, but then I don't have much time...

Remember when shovelware used to come on disks?
This is the way to go for a fun time. Especially with the Source Code Project. There's a ton of mods out there with great campaigns, too.
Depending on how much self control you have, put a timer near your computer and set it for whatever amount of time you want to spend. When it goes off, no more computer for however long you decide....

CS GO items, too.
Not one of a series, but Nexus: The Jupiter Incident is on sale for the next 5 hours and is recommended. By me, at least.

What? Has something happened to Ramses? We fell out of touch awhile back.
Unity of Command is somehow both deep and approachable. Anyone with a passing interest in turn-based strategy should get it.
Has anyone played this since it went open source and free?
The whole project was a really intriguing idea; a puzzle-based MMO players could affect, but it never did...
It seems like most of the games aren't worth the gamble, considering you can get many of them for around $2 in a sale sometime. It's a shame, because it's an interesting idea.

I thought $19.99 was a typo, considering I've never heard of any of these games. I guess not?
Shame they don't show how many people bought the bundle. I would be very curious.

That's a shame. It's a great bundle game. Short and interesting enough to hold interest for it's length.
04-09-2014, 05:44 PM
Seconded! It really is an interesting game, and I'm not sure why it isn't more popular. A shame it will likely never see a sequel, because the world building is interesting.

Both of which you can get by beating the average (currently about $1.75).

Any recommendations in this group?

Sounds like what I've heard referred to as a "Living Card Game", which is a style I really enjoy. They generally come with a substantial base box, and add-ons come out on a regular basis that extend...
