I only found out about this game a couple of days ago and will get it when it launches on STEAM today.
Videos on YouTube sold me on it, last early access game I got was Infested Planet and that was...

Thanks to everyone that commented on Dominions.
Most 4x games seem to get called on the AI unfortunately, and I am not so brilliant at them that it detracts too much.
Anyway I think I'll go for...

Style over substance?
My conclusion (right or wrong) is this game is not for me.
From what I have read on the official forums is they expanded the population allowed per server which made land even more difficult to get...
Midweek sale on Steam is Euro Truck Simulator 2 (66% off) there is a demo also. Think I am tempted to try this one
That is good to hear, not sure how to unlock those crafting skills though as I am only level 13 and flying blind as it were. Something to do with a snowflake?
In a month I might try a patron account...
I don't doubt you are right, this game does look like a breath of fresh air on the fantasy mmo scene.
This evening there are queues of 3k+ for the servers, so it is difficult to find out...
First impressions, servers are oversubscribed, queue was over 2k I did get in after about an hour.
The point of the game seems to be crafting/farming but there isn't enough land for the number of...
This was supposed to launch today, but seems there might be some problems.
I keep getting "You don't have the right entitlements to play this game (error #2028)" message
Was supposed to launch...

At the moment I am playing a couple of f2p games mainly.
Stronghold Kingdoms and Defiance
While SHK is prone to being dominated by p2w types it remains enjoyable for me (premium account only) and...
Depends on how you measure 'Best'?
In terms of box office it did great, not a fan myself for a number of reasons
Ridley Scott certainly seems to be misunderstood by the film corporations, the director's cut versions always seem so much better in his case
The main criticism seems to be a lack of variety in gameplay

I seem to have only short periods available atm so I am playing Dead Man's Draw which I picked up for £1.70 early in June. It's not a bad little time filler, no multi-player though.

It pops up on STEAM at a very low price on a regular basis as well

I agree and have watched quite a few, unfortunately a lot of them play so quickly that it can be difficult to see what they did.
He has just started a LP of Victoria II for those that are interested...

Civ III had a lot of fan made 'scenarios' which extended the game for me. However I became fed-up with the Stacks of Doom so that I passed on Civ IV, however I understand that there are a lot of very...

I found a thread on the STEAM forums that suggest you can't 100% be sure to get your cardinal elected but you can stack the deck in his favour
You don't get to choose your bishop. if you have a...

I will look out for that in future, thank you for the information.
The UI isn't brilliant, while it doesn't obscure the map too much lots of buttons are hidden away in the corners. I don't know what...

I did a little 'research' on Leviathan: Warships and it seems the single player is short and uninspiring, while the multi-player is essentially dead. So I talked myself out of it.
08-07-2014, 05:40 AM
Leviathan: Warships is on sale this week at (75% off = £1.99) on STEAM
So why shouldn't I get this one?

By a strange coincidence it is today's daily deal on steam 80% off (£2.99 or £3.99 for the gold edition)
