I like the Cube engine games (Cube 1 more than Sauerbraten... i find the latter's clash of styles too distracting).

I like the Cube engine games (Cube 1 more than Sauerbraten... i find the latter's clash of styles too distracting).
That was a nice review, but as far as video reviews go, i liked TotalBiscuit's WTF is Duke Nukem Forever? and the 5 hours in followup much better. He didn't really liked the game, but he took extra...
Indeed. I saw that yesterday (here is the func_msgboard topic for those who want to comment on it). It has a very strong Ayleid ruins feeling (something intended, although the first time i played it...
The whole editor is written in FreePascal and Lazarus, which is a "RAD" (Rapid Application Development) IDE for FreePascal and includes a rich GUI-oriented framework (the "LCL" - Lazarus Component...
I do :-P. But fortunately i seem to have all the games that WGRealms 2 is ripping stuff from.
@RDFG:
IMHO the best engine (and most stable, especially when it comes to mod support) is FitzQuake. This engine focuses on bug fixing, stability and extending engine limits without compromising the...
Try this link, it might work. It is from another site. In theory browser shouldn't matter since this is running in Flash Player. But sometimes weird things happen.
@icupnimpn2:
I like the two ghosts design :-)
What is this video? It looks like Deus Ex, but it also looks like something else. Is it a mod? Also i haven't seen anyone trying a Quake 1 LP with Rygel's texture pack. Probably mostly because it...
Looks very good, thanks for the heads up :-)
Downloading...
I love my iMac but it has this little issue that makes me use my PC all the time: it doesn't play the games i want to play. Which is a shame because i like Mac OS X.
Open the Audio Center, roll it up (press the little triangle inside the circular button that is below the volume and select one of the output devices.
This image might help. It is for Xonar...
I'm ok with it but then i'm a developer who at some point might want to get some feedback from here so i'm biased :-P.
But i think it is ok as long as the person doing the post wont disappear...
No. Also the game lasts little more than DN3D's first episode (shareware). Well, assuming you had to play DN3D for years and didn't rushed it, of course.
Because more and more people prefer to get laptops (or All-in-One computers, which use similar tech as laptops do) due to the small form factor, less power consumption and portability.
Looks very good.
(btw, for a moment i thought that "canvas" would be a site dedicated to the Source Engine games :-P)
Portal isn't an FPS. But beyond that, it is better than DNF.
I haven't played Metro 2033 yet.
Bioshock... it's a draw. I like the writing of Bioshock but the game has some very boring parts. DNF's...
I'm *very* satisfied with my Asus Xonar Essence ST. The sound quality is way better than any other sound system (onboard or dedicated) i've used. However it is a card designed mostly for headphones...
I'm replaying Wolfenstein (the 2009 one). I like the shooting but i wish the soldiers would shut up. At some point developers should really realize that repeating the same 2-3 lines over and over is...
I'll agree with Simon, Painkiller doesn't play like an oldschool FPS. Oldschool FPS isn't defined by hordes of mindless AI monsters. Games like Doom, Rise of the Triad, Quake, Unreal, Blood, Duke3D...
In DOOM you wouldn't wait 3:36 until being able to shoot a baddie :-P. Nor have to walk carefully around, hide behind stuff, etc just run straight to the action and blow demon heads with the shotgun...
Actually i think that it is exactly because of the constant tech push that things are rehashed over and over: better tech means more detailed assets to take advantage of it and more detailed assets...
Check out Conspiracies 2. It was made by a small Greek company. Here is a review and here is the game's site.
I don't play adventure games so i can comment on the game's quality as an adventure...
Well, upgrading from an nVidia to an nVidia (or AMD to AMD) card shouldn't need a format, but most of the time when you change from nVidia to AMD or vice versa it is recommended to do a format.

Seconded Hexen 2, although sometimes it will drive you nuts with the puzzles. Spacewalk is probably talking about Hammer of Thyrion which is a good source port. I wish it supported the fov command...
