Correct me if I am wrong, but Natural Selection 1 had commanders and the top down view, right?
So, the guys made this game with aliens versus marines, FPS with some RTS. Same with 2. So their...

I keep thinking im doing well, and eventually run into what i consider to be the 3rd type of automated ship. Once they get 3 shields, they do me in. Like first volley seems to always cripple me, and...

Just found the greatest thing ever for this game. Found a thing on the forums, someone linked Cheat Engine. It can be used to speed up the game. I havent got the hot keys working, yet, but I found...
I thought eador was terrible. Its didnt play like a 4x game to me, and the strategy I found was quite weak.
Heroes of Might and Magic 3, though loved by many, isnt loved by me. I had to spend way...

Dang I have nothing to ad except that video looks smoooooth. Why is that? Many of my games running at 60 fps done look that smooth, but I was under the impression you cant actually detect anything...
It is a brilliant idea, and is quite interesting to follow. I cant help but feel the inclusion of democracy mode has marred it, though.
I mean, it was kind of pure before, a simple idea and it was...

I really really love this game. Tower defence with a good twist. More area denial than path defence. Every so often I see a thread about best tower defence games (I have a soft spot...
Kind of the same with my and X-COM.
There are too many things like having to get psi researching going from the very start. If you dont, you can waste time training up brilliant soldiers who will...

Dues Ex did it well, i spent quite a bit of that game just reading emails. Its the first one that comes to my mind.
Vampire as well, hacked every computer I could.

So if i were to start a game of this, what sort of party would people recommend?
I know some people like to figure that stuff out for themselves, I just dont feel like that at the moment.

I was actually thinking to myself, I have to see what wizardry says about this.
Ill probably play it anyway, but once i do, i suppose ill know what to look for next in the genre.

Isnt TOME free?
Is there a difference between the one from the offical site, and the one on steam that costs 6 euro? Or is it just the stuff you can unlock from donating that was already in the game?

Id add desktop dungeons (Both paid, and alpha) to my list, and spelunky (Once again paid or alpha) though I remember spelunky not working on my old dell laptop, for reasons I cant remember.

I hate seeing steamgifts used. It just doesn't seem sensible to sign into a site I am not sure of with my steam account.
I mean, if it just needs your open ID, shouldnt there be another way of...

I have got Little Inferno to give away, so shoot me a pm if you would like it!
Also, Titan Quest and Limbo!
Edit: Little Inferno gone.

Someone should really take mnemnoch up on his offer, provided you would play one of the games.
Kings Bounty: The Legend is a really excellent game, I think. Its a brilliant strategy game, with a...

Plantera, quite difficult, though you can always build an arena to beat it, golem, no. You can box golem in, put a load of traps around him, set them off and shoot them from afar.
Still cant kill...

The only thing i am worried about is the netcode. People have been slamming MKs netcode, it consensus seems to be that it is basically unplayable. Still, I like the look of this game, might be worth...

Well, LoL has almost exactly what you described. Surrender becomes avalible at 20 minutes, 4/5 majority has to be reached (Or 3/4 if someone leaves, not seen smaller than that)
And people spam it...

Havent played this game since version 1, when the underworld was the hardest place youd be.
Really looking forward to defeating that wall o flesh, accidentially summoned him yesterday, going to beat...

I think your linking of the Peter Principle to forgetting controls in a game is a bit force, but lets go with it.
It wouldnt be nice to do away with the kind of progression you talk about, but...

In a sense, this whole thread is about that. Every game given away is a potential deprivation of a sale.

I love me some tactics games, and card games. I love RPGs, but I didnt like card hunter.
It fails on almost all fronts for me.
Most of all I find it tactically quite uninteresting. Maybe if they...

Hi guys! Been playing this pretty regularly for a while now, would love to join the RPS crew some time!
Loved it. Less dungeon crawler, more Metroidvania game, though. I do love me some good metroidvania games.
Id prefer a sequel rather than multiplayer, to be honest. Or prehaps a game editor, so...
