So RPS has never, ever commented on industry issues not related to a specific game? Well damn, they got me fooled, them sly foxes.
That would be a valid response, had the situation not developed way past the initial point, uncovering a number of issues that reside squarely in the public along the way.
I understand that it...
That's because it's apparently broken in the default view. You can somewhat fix it by switching the camera and the guy behind the project is already working on a fix according to his post on GAF.

I would do that. I would.

I'm pretty sure they had a different animation set for female characters in previous AC multiplayer modes.
Edit: AC4 had gender specific animations in multiplayer. Can't find footage of female...

They kinda did in a slightly different context. People asked for a female protagonist in an AC game ever since we saw female assassins in Brotherhood. So we got Aveline, who happens to be a decent...

So perhaps use your magical moderator powers and slice the discussion out into it's own thread? I'd wager we can get three more pages of civilized exchange before it devolves into name calling.

Well, for this to be a relevant argument in this discussion, you'd need to link those missed targets to under-representing females. Until you do, it's more reasonable to argue that either the games...

That implies they're incompetent as a business. If they could get return on that investment I'm sure they would include the option. Benign neglect doesn't really apply to companies with as many...

Possibly because it doesn't make financial sense to spend resources and time on something only a small part of your customer base will care about?
I'm speculating here, since Ubisoft doesn't...

We're not talking about a few textures. VO, mo-cap, multiple models, that all costs money, especially when switching pipelines.
Believe me, you don't want a female skin over a male animation set....

this might be of some interest
Appears to be PC footage judging from the hair physics.

I waited for two games this E3 - Mirror's Edge and Battlefront.
What I got was some guy jumping around staircases and a trip to a museum.
Well, fuck you too EA.

Convenience is the answer to every single question about Steam. Who said you can't make money on laziness?
I'd expect an early 2017 release date.
Making a game where the player has two viable methods of solving the gameplay element, and only one of those actually makes sense in relation to the characterisation of the protagonist/avatar is bad...
I went non lethal/ghost through most of the game, I don't think I have an issue with thinking beyond the obvious.
I don't have a problem with the protagonist killing people if he has the right...
It's not about being a saint, it's about being consistent. The script goes out of it's way to make sure he doesn't actually do anything that could be considered bad and when he does, he instantly...
Even if he's reaching with the stadium example, every time you hack the damn traffic lights you're rolling the dice on civilian lives, especially if you do it to off a pursuer. Which would be okay if...
Well, done with the game for now.
Mechanically, it's a classic Ubisoft game. Lots of neat little elements copy pasted all over the map. Some genuinely good mechanics, some outright dreadful...

Yeah, yeah, dubstep not real music, yeah, yeah.
Still a riot.

Head = exploded.
How did you make that connection?
Arkane can deny all they want. RPS/other media outlets can dig as far as they please and publish whatever they find.

Nothing. COD isn't realistic and never made that claim. Having female skins in COD is no different to having female skins in PS2. It adds visual diversity, nothing more, nothing less.

Dunno, that's a question for someone who served in a unit with people of different ethnic descent. I'm sure that was an issue in the US army back in the day and it might be an issue today.

That was in reference to unit cohesion, not physical performance. And it's not about sexual tension or anything, that's a separate issue. It's about what you do when you have to choose between...
