I'm working from memory but most of the 'demo' - when I tried it way-back-when - really didn't offer much in the way of options - most of the skills unlocked were linear etc. - nothing which was...

I hit a puzzle earlier which I'm 99% sure wasn't soluble without guessing (and there wasn't much of it left at that point) - I didn't screenshot it but if I get there again I will.
A bigger issue,...
My issues with D3 were that there simply weren't enough 'carrots' in there - character development was really narrow and limited - I'm assuming that didn't change?
I didn't give a shit about...

I finally gave Hexcells a whirl and whilst it has some LOVELY ideas and is quite addictive, I suspect at least 2 of the puzzles require 'guesswork' to complete them (at least I got them into that...

I've just noticed something interesting on the Bundlestars site.
Unlike some other bundle you may have met, Bundlestars are happy for you to throw your keys here, there and everywhere as you see...

There's a new Bundlestars 'Capsule' - I mention it mainly because it appeared about 30 seconds before I was going to pull-the-trigger on Hexcells anyway

I tried a bit of Tower of Guns again - hmmm
I'm with the idea of it but the execution is a bit shaky. It fails as a 'classic FPS' in the UT vein because the weapons feel 'off' and the physics of...

It's notable that despite containing a track from probably the ambient album(*) there is - I still can't get away with it ;0
(*) normally the best ambient album would have been Eno's Apollo but...

Yeah I don't get Kerbal either but people keep telling me you can't land on the Sun or something ;0
Orbient was VERY hard in places - like stupid hard.
Oddly, I think I'd blocked Osmos for the...

I'm probably missing some really obvious ones but I was playing a bundle-acquisition (Solar Flux) earlier and I thought
"This is quite good - why aren't there more games like this!?"

DMC is a perfectly serviceable game with decent combat - mind-blasting visuals - even a decent soundtrack (they paid someone to sound like and be nothing like NiN which was a good move IMO)

Dust is a function of 2 things really
1 - how much you use the PC
2 - WHERE you use it
Bedrooms are massive dust-magnets - PCs near the floor will suck-in FAR more dust.
PCs on desks in...

In an effort to push my Steam "Free PNGs" Wallet upto the level I need to buy Infested Planet, I've been playing some stuff I'd neglected (and idling some stuff I'd given-up-on but which acquired...

Problem is that there's almost never a case where someone completely owns the rights for something - and you cannot give-up your rights under law anyway - if someone changes their mind or someone...

LOL - even if they don't chase you it doesn't mean it's legal. What is "OK" for you and what is "legal" are entirely different.
The complexities of who 'owns' a piece of software are probably...

I love that people think something magical will happen to XP when 'support ends' - because
a - support has been ending - in various ways - for YEARS now
b - it's AGES old, I think all the holes...

Public heathcare isn't 'free' and it's not 'altruistic' - we simply pool income taxes so that the people who need more help are 'sponsored' by those who don't.
There are, of course, many people...

UK law requires a store to honor 'advertised prices' - however price stickers are not considered to be 'advertising" and have no weight in that respect.
The actual guts of the law focuses around a...

Gundato assumed 'working with others' and 'working with the public' were related - i was talking about other lawyers...
Of course different professions have different options but there's no "right...

No more than anyone else who's qualified/has relevant experience in their field, really.
Indeed, law is unusual in that it requires you "get a job" in order to qualify in your profession AND it's...

I think you might find that the grass is not always greener.
I chose IT for a career because I was good at it - but there are times when I think I should have actually done something like 'become...

Altruism is great but the concept still applies - what you give away for free will not be appreciated as much as what people have to work/pay for.
If you WANT to give things away then that's...

Having owned it for a while but generally being one to avoid 'Alphas' and 'Betas' I recently gave-in to temptation and installed/played a bit of 'Sir! You are being Hunted!"
It seemed, to me, that...

I quite enjoyed it on an iPad some months ago - I'm not sure it won't feel a bit 'old' on a PC but YMMV
