I think they are riding the current trend of flat design (in graphic design) and thinking it should apply to industrial design.
So I guess this is why EA dropped it: Microsoft is going to enforce it for them

TL;DR not required
Well it's X86-based, so it's practically a PC ;)

See, to me that looks like he's standing in a shop.
I realised a couple of years ago that adopting a completionist approach is detrimental to my gaming. Hence I'm now able to actually finish a game and move on with my life.
It's weird really. People have shown they're willing to pay for games at a certain price bracket rather than another, hence the second-hand market exists. The manufacturing cost per unit must be so...
127, apparently.
Completely the opposite for me. I like to cut down on physical materials as much as possible. I've had a NAS, and no optical media for about 4 or 5 years now. My current laptop has no DVD drive...
Gotta love those guys
I was hoping to get cracking on this over the weekend, but it was not to be.
It's still broken, judging by this thread on Ubisoft, and this thread on Steam.
Frankly I'm shocked that it is taking...
I disagree to some extent. Microsoft's motivation has always been about monetisation as much as possible. They reportedly charge developers for patches, and the trend now is even to just use the xbox...
Exactly this. I watched a trailer for the forthcoming DC DOTA-like, and just couldn't get over the language. I felt like a stereotypical non-techie in every film/tv show ever, yelling "speak english"...
This is the company that saw fit to charge a subscription for the privilege of multiplayer, after all.
I don't mean to be spiteful, but it's about time MS made a huge mistake like this, in the one...
Ah, my mistake, I was thinking Microsoft as in pedlars of software and xbox. I forgot that they actually own a great deal of games IP.
You left out a bit:
This didn’t come up earlier because the situation was complicated by the number of parties involved in the license and because the process was “ongoing”. Ultimately, we were...
I remember reading something a couple of years ago with Blizzard claiming that more people play solo than multiplayer. Now trying to google this I can't find the source.
Does anyone know what I'm...
I've just played through the opening sequence and so far it seems pretty good. I was horrified that the very first shot after the pre-rendered opening sequence looked abysmal (graphically) but...
I've played some of the original series and found it to be OK. I've never had a whiff of the uncharted series, which people have been comparing this to, so by all accounts this I'm going to enjoy it....
I've got £10 off the razerstore when you spend £69+
In the absence of any RPS WIT so far, is anyone playing this yet, have any thoughts? Is it worth me installing or does it look like I should be selling my steam key on ebay?
Also a couple of keys going for the Showdown Effect.
a bunch of sins of a dark age keys. pm me before they go (or don't)
It's £2.40 at GMG with their 20% code (GMG20-PJFEW-Y16HK ). Even at that low price I'm not sure I'd play it. Anyone having a good time with it?
