A few that spring to mind:
* Daikitana - No explanation necessary.
* Borderlands 2 - This game REALLY could have used some more QA time as several of the quests are either wayyyyyy too hard or...

I'd go with Unreal Gold. That game is fantastic. Aged quite well also.
Same happened to me. No icon yet.

Not had a chance to test it out yet. Looks good from what I've seen in the dev updates however.
They launched a new trailer to show off the new stuff added in:...

Several kickstarter funded games reached development completions both last week and this one:

If it's anything like Symphony of The Night was, then I'd gladly pay $28 for another, and then some :).
That's definitely Gran Turismo. 3 or 4.

Another vote for QTE's. Ruins the player skill side of things. Though one could argue that there is sometimes skill learned in mastering the QTE's.
My main annoyances: Bad ports to a platform...

Underworld Ascendent posted a blog on the bad press and doomsayer related stuff that the media as a whole has been doing about Kickstarter projects for quite some time....
Been a huge TTLG fan ever since System Shock 1, and played Underworld 1 & 2 back in the day so this one was a no brainer.
I'd strongly suggest playing the series in this order:
1. Command and Conquer 1
2. Red Alert 1
3. Command and Conquer 2, then it's expansion
4. Red Alert 2 then Yuri's Revenge
5. C&C 3 then...

Much of that is more game design oriented than actual engine related. As in, you can already do all of that in the level editor. So nothing new would need to be added to the game in-order to...

More than just cyberspace needs an overhaul (though cyberspace would be the biggest aspect), the astral plane could really use an overhaul as well + the game could use the addition of more classes to...
Give 7th Guest and The 11th Hour a go. To this day my favorite games of the puzzles genre.
If you've not played either of them, think of them as you going into a haunted mansion filled with...

I found the "They Hunger" trilogy mod series for Half-Life quite good in the scares / tense category.

I am so going to be all over the Shadowrun kickstarter aslong as its for singleplayer content. Made the mistake of not backing the last one. Been a lifelong obsessed addict of the Shadowrun universe...

Fear 1 + it's expansions had me jumping all over the place. Really damn good game that one. Shame the rest are garbage + they ruined the shotgun.
Bah your talking to a fan of the books here since early school days. Future talk is all the way :p.
I hope to see more games in the series.
If your curious, to see of the games origins.
For me Lone Wolf has and always will be the ULTIMATE series of gamebooks, considering that it's the only series where your the same person throughout (books 1-20, then a new character from 21-28),...

System Shock 2. Never played a scarier game.
Though AvP 1 playing in the original version of it (which didn't allow for any saving at all), was scary as hell as well. Though only on the Alien and...
A few thing spring to mind that are in my playlists:
.hack series (yep every game in the entire series of 7 games has great music)
Command and Conquer 1 & 2

MMO's: Got the deepest into Ultima Online and WoW. WoW since it offered good solo content as well the party/raid based stuff.
Singleplayer: Fallout 3. This game really sucked me in. Really good...

I refused to buy into the hype for Diablo 3. For me the series ended at 2 and there never was a sequel to it.
Two things killed it forever for me:
1. The fact that your forced to play on a...
