One thing that worries me is when people say these attacks has nothing to do with Islam, which is like saying that attacks on abortion clinics in the US had nothing to do with christianity, obviously...

Perhaps Munich by Spielberg? About a group of israeli agents hunting down people connected to the group that carried out the Munich Massacre. Been long since I saw it and my memories of it are a bit...

I'm just worried that even if serious measures are taken the numbers will probably continue to be this high next year, and even if the numbers were reduced by half or more it could still be too much...

Well, you could argue the robots in GITS seem to be designed to look like the humans of the society that made them, and that society is asian. The cop with the mullet who's an actual human looks very...

One movie that in my opinion channeled the spirit of Star Wars really well was Guardians of the Galaxy. Best SW movie since 1983.

Mashup of all the Star Wars teaser/trailer footage. (Not sure if everything is there but if there's anything missing it's not much)

I'm not familar enough with Abram's work to have much of an opinion but a guy who signs up to reboot both Star Trek and Star Wars must have a lot of balls at least. Even if he did mess up Star Trek,...

I enjoyed the trailer a lot but after experiencing the phantom menace premiere I won't allow myself to fully succumb to the hype. That said the stuff I've seen so far gives me a very good feeling. It...

Saw that The Martian got some appreciation earlier in the thread. Not a masterpiece perhaps but I enjoyed it quite a lot. Started to have some pacing issues around the middle when you lost focus on...

Sweden has one of the most liberal immigration policies in the world and it has produced a complete fucking mess. We simply can't handle the volumes of immigrants coming now (mostly not from Syria...

If you look just at what we see in the movies (let's limit ourselves to the OT), are they really that different though? In other media it's been established that Ties are much more crude but not so...

Prometheus didn't live up to its potential but it's pretty decent nonetheless. Some things it did really well, such as visuals and atmosphere.

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon for the N64 was pretty interesting, and different. It's got a weird, very japanese style, not just in terms of graphics. Definitely something that stands out among all...

Pacific Rim is awesome. Part of me just loves seeing giant robots fight monsters and this movie serves that need beautifully. Amazing attention to detail.

One thing that puzzles me is that it was apparently aimed at newbies as it was set in newbie zones. But to get the rewards you needed quite a lot of gold, which newbies don't have.EDIT: also I think...
I sometimes have what you might call demomania, meaning I go for a satisfying kill instead of keeping my mind on the ball. Demos can be a waste of effort though and in my experience the less you...
