Just finished Alan Wake and I'm now starting the extra stories.

I've known something was on the horizon for at least a year!

There isn't many jump scares, it's mostly a feeling of vulnerability, which is good. I do rather like Alan Wake now, it's best not to cane it, just doing section every so often helps.
