If it were just the tech sites and forum posters who had the attitude that AMD is for budget systems, that would be one thing. But that's the attitude of the system builders too: Dell, HP, Samsung,...
Religion is a choice until it isn't.
In times and places where there is discrimination and violence against particular religions, folks don't go around asking if so-and-so is actually a practicing...
Just had a fun "Mexican standoff" with Archmage Antonidas and a bunch of spells (mine) vs. Troggzor the Earthinator and Ragnaros. I think I did alright in the end, in that when the dust cleared (i.e....
This Foreign Policy article about the state of affairs in Nigeria makes for distressing reading:
I don't dismiss the talk in this thread about anti-homosexual feelings being motivated in part...

Well, the male version of a blank canvas tends to be this hulking scowling brute that doesn't resonate with me at all. I find generic females more interesting than generic males. Maybe it's just the...

I tend to find female characters more interesting than the Grimface McStrong archetype that most playable male characters fall into.
Hmm well I can't say I'd given the visual symbolism that much thought. But the first bit of that video certainly captures a crucial element of the game that the first Let's Play I checked out misses...
What's a Cancer Mage? For that matter, what's a Tempo Mage?
Still learning the lingo...
Umm, so what do people think of the new heroes? I haven't seen/heard Magni yet, but I've run into a few...
There are ruins and other points of interest, but they don't carry meaning of themselves. At most particular sights and structures help to shape the player's moment-by-moment emotional response and...

In a 1978 essay for Encylcopedia Britannica, Roger Ebert wrote that "what a film is 'about' is not the best reason for seeing it the first time, rarely a reason to see it twice, and almost never a...
As indicated previously, I sometimes read Free Republic for shits and giggles. And one thing you notice in discussions about The Gays is the prevalence of scatological language: "fudge packers" and...

Many were increasingly of the opinion that they’d all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that even the trees had been a bad move, and that no one...

War Nerd did a fun article about Islamic radicalism in Tunisia 18 months back, in the context of a then-recent suicide bombing. Makes for interesting reading in the context of the recent attacks,...
Is it too cliche/simplistic to blame this on the British class system?

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
Metal Gear Solid V

Also, the meltdown over at Free Republic is predictably entertaining.
This talk of exploration and meaning reminds me of Journey.
Which in turn reminds me of Abzu which seems to be going for something similar:
And "they" are not entitled to our interest or attention. It's our time (and money) and we'll spend it as we see fit.
I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to exactly what No Man's Sky is and isn't. I'd seen some pretty screenshots, and some wonderful transitions from space to ground, and read something about...
