I can't remember the figures off hand but the Harry Potter stuff still skewed towards boys, more so than you'd think considering the wide appeal of the books/films.
But it's possible that this was...
I think it's about as complicated (roughly) as the other stuff for that age group. It's less complicated than the Star Wars for example, but the Star Wars stuff is aimed a bit older.
I think...
That's really not the case. The Lego Friends stuff is at least as complicated as the more boy oriented Star Wars/Harry Potter stuff of a similar size, all of which is itself a lot more complicated...
And men who are hit on by women they aren't attracted to, tend not to get violent. They may be verbally abusive, but not typically violent.
Because it implies to a homophobic man that they are...
Is it the objectification causing that though? I would have thought it was more homophobia, denigration of masculinity etc.
As men being hit on by women show different (on average) reactions to...
My youngest (who was probably four/five at the time) quite enjoyed the Peppa Pig games. Various little mini games, colouring in, flipping pancakes and so on. They are very simple but probably nicely...
I quite often have a problem with it myself to be honest as I tend towards the dispassionate online. Anger in posts and the like can really make me uncomfortable, and this is partially because for me...
Maybe not, but if there are two sides and both are taking the least charitable interpretation of events then it can quickly become impossible to have any kind of dialogue, sides become more...
Only if that decision would have a meaningful difference if performed a second earlier.
Although there are degrees. Something like Total War, whilst it's possible to improve via micromanagement...
I haven't played EVE either but I had a quick hour or so on this.
It felt like a weird old game. Fairly hefty learning curve, no tutorial, odd control mapping. Nice enough but bland looking map....
The problem is some of the words you were using are utterly without context. For example
Is that difficult? Is it impressive? I have no context for it at all.
If I was to start talking...
Thief Pack - Haven't played yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.
Left 4 Dead 1/2 - For some reason I thought this wouldn't run on my piddly laptop, yet after checking the requirements it runs...
There were aspects of this in Warzone 2100. It was possible to build one unit as a "Commander". Each unit slaved to the commander would fire at the whatever enemy unit the commander was firing at.

It's not bad thing as such but it's very unambitious.
The only big base building RTS is essentially the same game as 13 years ago. If it had been taken back in time the only comment would be

The Amiga game?
Normally on a bed of bitter, bitter frustration. If I remember correctly.
Plus Little Big Planet 1+2. If this game was on the PC we would never have heard the end of it. A gorgeous, fun game with extensive user creation? That's a solid win in anyone's book.
*shrug* Replace "manual patches" with update drivers, kill background processes or anything else which isn't simply "put a disk in and play".
PC gaming is much better now than it has been but it...
I don't have the same time to play games now as I did 7/8 years ago. Not faffing about with the settings, downloading demos to see if it'll run properly etc. is a all a bit of a bonus. Making...
Strangely enough, the first twenty minutes of Heavy Rain are some of the tensest I've played. (using played in a loose sense there)
Warzone 2100, maybe not obscure but certainly not as well known as it ought to be. Any game with custom designed mobile rotary howitzers tied to an automated counter battery gets my vote.
Would you then completely abstract the text of the conversation into a series of "conversation gambits" (representing the conversation actions of the player and npc) where there is no actual...
Well that was the interesting point. Early on in the game Aveline was judging Isabela harshly for (amongst other things) enjoying a bit of slap and tickle, despite the fact that this was always on...
I played through a lot of it with Aveline and Isabela and the interaction between the two was one of my favourite parts. A lot of their dialogue highlights the fact Isabela wasn't designed to be...
TBS: Alpha Centauri. Still a brilliant game. Just edges out UFO:Enemy Unknown
RTS: Homeworld "Kharak is Burning..."
FPS: Bioshock 1 + 2. (honourable mention to Portal 2 and Half Life 2)
TPS:...
The Complex level in N64 Goldeneye. So much multiplayer...
